AMP Research power steps clank

I just installed Amp Research Powersteps on my 23 Wildtrak. Just a question for those of your with the same. How much noise do they make? When my set close they make a noticeable noise, clank when closing. I have put these steps on multiple vehicles and not sure the noise is “normal”. Thanks for your help.

Normal (I think). Mine made a good clunk when closing.

Makes me feel better. Love the steps. I don’t feel like an idiot literally jumping into the Bronco. Height challenged over here.

Mine make a noticeable noise after closing the door at the end of the stowing cycle on my 2023 Bronco. I have AMP steps on my 2015 F150 that do not make this noise.

I do hear the same clank on my 2024 Bronco 4-door Badlands Sasquatch and I would like to eliminate the clank.
I do not hear it on my 2022 F-250 Platinum factory-installed Amp Research deployable running boards.
