Alternative to Push/Thread style plastic retainer clips???

Does anyone know of a good (possibly metal) alternative to these garbage plastic push/thread retainer clips? The head ends up wallowing out or breaking, or they don't thread out so they have to be cut off. Even the non-oem plastic ones are garbage.

I ran into this issue installing some aftermarket mud flaps on my BRaptor fenders. They can be found all over the Bronco though and I can't find a good alternative.

Following along. The Amazon replacements I have got don’t fit and the dealership charges a obscene amount for a piece of plastic that cost a penny to make

You could just replace the screw type with the pushpin type. That really is just trading one set of issues for another I suppose

I use clip nuts and screws where possible, they work great on the inner fender liners

Just can't win them all. All new cars are disposable by design..
