Hi,
Was lucky enough to get my 4 door BB Bronco last week. Overall I love it, but speakers are not the greatest. I'm not a huge Audiophile and I tried talking to some local auto speaker places that weren't very helpful. Hoping you guys can answer some of these questions.

Not interested in getting a big amp or subwoofer. Will just replacing current speakers with high quality ones make a big difference?

What will nicer speakers do exactly? Louder/Clearer/More Bass?

Should I be replacing all 6 speakers?

Do you guys have any recommendations and how would I verify the speakers will work/fit?

Thanks!!!@

I had my speakers all swapped out to JL Audio C1's. There's two 4 inch in the dash and two in the rear roll bar. And two 6.5" in the kicker panels by your feet. I had them all swapped out and a Kenwood pa-w801b 8 powered subwoofer installed in the cargo area. It's a powered sub so you don't require an amp as well and save space. It's sturdy so you can stack anything on it or even stand on it. The sound quality difference is absolutely amazing now. I had the speakers for about a week before I had the sub installed, and the sub really brings it all together.

Keep in mind these prices are in Canadian dollars:
4 - JL Audio C1 4" speakers - $230
2 - JL Audio C1 6.5" speakers - $180
1 - Kenwood pa-w801b subwoofer - $400
Professional Installation - $700 (I originally had the speakers installed first just to see if that was enough difference, but decided I needed a sub too. So this was two trips to the shop for installation. Would have been cheaper if I did it all at once.)

For a pretty budget upgrade I just replaced the 2 dash speakers. You can get even cheaper speakers but I went with Polk Audio. These are marine rated as well:

It's an incredible improvement over the stock system. It's not going to compare to something with a sub, but I'm perfectly happy with just this. I mostly ride around with the top off and windows open anyway.

Yeah replacing the two 4” dash speakers will improve quality by leaps. Personally, I went with some Infinity Reference speakers, but I found that they made highs too bright. Since the initial install, I’ve added Boom Baffle for all the speakers, and I plan to add some simple wool fabric to the front and rear speakers to reduce the piercing brightness of the highs.

Im still searching for a decent kick panel speaker replacement, as I personally want a little more bump in my lows than what the stock speakers offer.

Oh, also make sure that if you do replace the front dash speakers, that you also buy some in-line bass blockers. The stock have them built into the unit. I went with 300hz blockers myself.

If you don’t do this, all your lows will pump into those tiny speakers and it’ll sound like distorted garbage.
