Try reasoning with your accountant/financial advisor wife. I dread when she asks for updates because I don't have any. She reminds each time how much we could be earning on that money. Pretty much would have have paid for the shipping at this point had we only put down a deposit. Just one real honest update would be nice. If Anderson was making a one piece I would be switching and may be forced to soon regardless despite how much better looking the ADV design is.
Just imagine how much you could have been earning on all the clothes, shoes and vacations.;)

This falls under those ”want” don’t “need” items. I don’t sit and worry about what I could have done with that money.

I mean, they COULD be legit investing in legit avenues, not just unnecessary purchases? Not really outlandish.

True. I'm not worried about it, just get a little irritated every month or so with no updates (and other companies delivering). The fact is we are all very fortunate to have these types of "problems." Anyone buying a Bronco is fortunate. Doesn't change the accountants line of thinking though.

We both want it, just one of us has a limit and no real updates (here, IG, or even through email or phone) isn't helping. Essentially by her thinking, people placing orders today have saved a 1.5 yrs interest or been able to invest that money the entire time, thus making it a penalty for helping finance this project and in essence costing all of those who placed early orders substantially more for the same product. Everyone has a limit on how long they will wait that they must decide for themselves. For us, the trust is starting to be lost with no updates and every time a stated deadline comes and goes it gets harder to justify the wait. Hoping we get something concrete soon.

It does suck. I’ll probably throw it on to make sure it fits properly. But, I plan on running the soft top in the summer.

But, it just what it is. They may have picked a better rubber or picked the one manufacturer that got held up.

Getting in on any product like this has risks. Maybe the first run turns out to be crap. Global supply chain is still all over the place. 6 months from now, version 2 comes out. Sitting and fretting over money is just futile. The smart thing for all of us would have let them get it out to market and made sure it was a good product and then ordered one. But, we are an impatient bunch….self included.

so, the last update we got from @ADV Fiberglass was on 3/27:
" Based on our meetings last week, the rubber manufacturer is on the final process of gluing on the end caps. We will send another update email as soon as it ships. "

That must be one hell of a painstakingly slow final process.
I know, they have stated before that they don't want to provide further updates when they don't have anything definite, because it just leads to more customer frustration if/when a date slips, and i understand that. However, I think most people here just want to know something/anything at this point, even bad news. As I've said before, I have full coincidence in ADV as a company, and they have a solid track record. Unfortunately, I have ZERO confidence in this mystery rubber vendor...

Next two planned updates:

1) Once the rubber order ships
2) Once the rubber is received and final assembly begins

We have received picture confirmation of the order which is fully packaged and simply waiting to get picked up. Once we receive confirmation that it is been picked up, then we will send an update email.

Thanks @ADV Fiberglass !
What's your best "guesstimate" from shipping notification to receipt?

Is the supplier in the US or overseas somewhere?

Nice!!! Sadly, like similar emails from @ADV Fiberglass , I never received it (not even in my junk folder) :( Doesn't matter - Update here is good enough!

Can you comment on where the shipment is coming from? I don't think we're looking for attitude and longitude coordinates, but just generally - Coming from North America, or overseas? Bonus points if you can tell us approximately what the lead time is, knowing it can change and is due to the carrier.

Thanks, and have a great weekend!

How long is the shipment expected to take to arrive? Air? Ocean shipping container?
Wow, this is more exciting than when my wife told me ANOTHER BUNDLE OF JOY WAS ON THE WAY
After the first one,I knew what I was in for. Th wife doesn't read my emails so I am safe. This is great news, can't wait for updates
All is well that ends well
