They will sell plenty of these, enough to keep a solid backlog of orders. For you people all upset just think of it this way, if it came in at your unrealistic low price imagined, you would still never get one. The backlog of orders would be longer than getting a mod top from Ford and we know how long that will be.

If the quality matches the price, they will sell every single top they make. They are first to the market and you are going to pay if you want it.

I have no idea what this cost to make. But what I do know is what I'd be willing to pay for a hard top.

And that price is no more than $3500 shipped, with rear defrost and wipers included.

So it looks like my measly budget will not be getting a hard top.

I think they will get more than enough customers. Lots of people on 6G want premium product at Wal-Mart prices and that’s just not going to happen.
Looks like what @ADV Fiberglass is offering is going to be more like a Walmart product at a premium price. Look at what Patriot Fastbacks is making for J••ps to see what a truly premium hard top should be. Not just an attempt to clone what Ford/Webasto f•••ed up, but something much better, higher quality, more durable, better insulated than either the Ford/Webasto product or the @ADV Fiberglass product was ever intended to be; and t looks like it's going to come in at a lower price than the @ADV Fiberglass product.

Dude there are threads for the Patriot product….personally I’m not a fan of either of their tops but I don’t spend multiple posts in that thread berating it.

Give it a rest no one has a gun to your head to buy ADV’s

People are going to be in for a RUDE awakening when the see the price and wait times for accessory Ford MIC and Mod tops….

There’s even one rumor the Ford Mod tops won’t be compatible with MY21 & MY22 Broncos. If that turns out to be true…. lookout

I’ll take the better looking ADV’s for my money

So I am sure someone has said this but I want to break it down.
5750 for the mod top
1000 to 1500 shipping(guess) to a dock
I am assuming this still needs to painted so that can be a job, say 2000.
And finally sales tax, say 8%, 500
Total 9250 To 9750, might as well say
$10k

I hope I am wrong on this, because this makes it not feasible and I want these after market suppliers to succeed. When I bought my leer top it came painted to match my truck, are these painted?

I don’t know what the final costs will be; however, your calculation did not factor options including but not limited to sound deadening, wiper, etc.

We appreciate all the input. There has been an influx of comments on this post which we have read. We wholeheartedly believe that we priced the top accordingly. Some on this thread disagree which is unfortunate but we have taken all things into account to price this top. Just some of these costs include R&D, overhead, tooling costs, production costs, etc.

We want to quote Buck Wild Offroad from his post earlier to stress this point: “I think people are mostly upset because we were promised something by ford that didn't pan out. We had the choice of switching to a wavy soft top and getting our rigs earlier, or waiting and getting an inferior hard top. Either way is was tense and really frustrating to say the least. ADV didn't cause this problem, they are trying to solve it and run a business.”

We are very excited to show you prototypes in the near future which will 100% justify the pricing for those that are on the fence or not. We are doing our very best to fill the hardtop void which FORD left to the Bronco community. We are sorry for those that do not agree with us but we strongly believe we are helping the bronco community by producing a quality hardtop.

Hope you all have a fantastic night and we look forward to doing business with you in the near future!
Well stated answer. Personally I am on the fence until I can see a real version as opposed to a digital version. Looking forward to seeing how it looks in actuality before deciding to purchase or wait out other options. Either way, thank you for making this option available even if some of us decide ultimately to look at alternative options.

I am excited over the top, I just want to know the options, pricing of the options and shipping costs. In my case to Connecticut.
I have spent a lot of money to build my bronco exactly the way I want. I need a quality hard top to be able to mount my roof rack, front lights and rear backup lights (all of which are in my basement)
The question has been raised by another poster who is at the same dealership as me, "will ADV try to bundle orders to the same location to further reduce the freight costs".
looking forward to what the production timetable will be.
For you and me both - I think that would be Juggernaut Performance in Eastford, CT. Perhaps we can coordinate group buys to lower the freight. I am still not 100% - but, looking forward to more info and prototype pics.

I'll paint them all day long for about half that.
Base/Clear, not single stage. Just saying.
For those of you who are getting tops painted, these $3K(and up) quotes to paint a top and such are ripping you off.

Im hoping to get bundling to my Ford dealer in Norwalk.

ADV will have all the info at the preorder signup and can proceed accordingly (unless there are stipulations in a dealership agreement to the contrary)

Juggernaut is a 2 hr drive (traffic) and if I can get it bundled and installed at McMahon I'm happy.

As I mentioned earlier, I went on the Patriot site and put a 4 dr 1 piece hardtop in my cart and proceeded through the steps to ascertain what there shipping costs will be. They had shipping to Norwalk CT at $500. that's just to get me an idea of a close range of cost for my planning. I assume ADV will be in the same range as they both are in California. I have seen estimates up to $1500 being mentioned on other posts and the freight calculators I have tried on the net are all over the place with numbers.
I guess the ball is in ADVs court and we just wait for the shoe to drop on the freight.
If I can save some dollars to throw into more fishing reels, great. otherwise, it goes to the top which i need and want.

Inside and out with the current cost of materials and the amount of prep to do Fiberglass correctly i estimated light, go on you if you can do it for 1000.

I really think its the right price. A little expensive but with all things considered you have to make your money and price it at its value. The only thing that really pushes me on the fence is knowing us peeps on the east coast will have to pay a hefty tax and delivery fee that probably puts us well into the 7k range. Pick up would not make sense unless you plan to drive all the way to CA topless because how else would we store our soft top coming back lol. Just need more time to think about but but thanks for options and trying to fix what Ford has caused.
