If I get pushed to MY23 I likely go back to dual Mod tops for $3k less than this.

I'd be a buyer at sub $4k delivered.
I will say this- my best friend sells resin to companies around the US. He told me two weeks ago that because of the short supply, they are charging 2-3 times more for the product and they are struggling to keep companies supplied. The components to make fiberglass are more expensive now and so will any product made from it.

I’m not defending or trashing their price. It’s in line with what a MIC top would cost you right now if you tried to buy one. Is it much nicer? We don’t know yet. It looks really nice in the drawings. But I want to see real world what it looks like. With all the MIC top issues, it would be nice to have other viable options until Ford figures out how to make them themselves.
This is one reason why the MOD top won’t be $3,000 as originally featured in B&P. More like $7,000 is what I’ve been hearing.

Is there a video for what the difference between the 1 piece vs the modular represents. Sorry - didn't go through 22 pages of posts.
As far as I understand it, the modular is a 2-piece with a removable panel above the driver/front passenger. The 1-piece is all-or-nothing. Even if I could afford the price of this thing it would be a no-go for me because you can't give the 2nd row passengers a sky view without removing the entire top. The Ford top at least allows that.

Things are typically going to be a lot more expensive on the Bronco than their Jeep counterparts until the aftermarket for the Bronco becomes as mature and competitive as the Jeep one. That's just how things work. Big profits draw in more competition, and then consumer choice drives down prices.

On top of that, inflation is soaring, it's a seller's labor market, and it's getting difficult to manufacture and ship a lot of different products because of supply chain problems.

Obviously we all want low prices but I think we need to collectively realize that buying a second roof, whether aftermarket or from Ford, is going to be an expensive proposition for a while.

$6k for a fiberglass hard top: "OUTRAGEOUS!"
$6k to wrap a Bronco in clear plastic film: "NOT BAD!"

(Disclaimer: both things are out of my league.)
Exactly! 😂

Not sure why anyone would buy this? If you wanted a hard top just order a hard top Bronco from Ford. 6 grand for a top! I guess if you wanna burn 6 grand burn 6 grand?

I think the general idea is that you can order a soft top Bronco and this, and have a hard top Bronco in 2022 for an extra six grand.

Ordering through Ford saves you the six grand but you won't have the hard top Bronco until 2024.

What people actually want is a hard top Bronco in 2022 without paying the extra six grand. That option is not very widely available, so people are frustrated.

South Florida Jeeps already has a Bronco hard top on the market. You can buy it now, if you want to pay more than nine thousand dollars for a roof that pretty much ruins any access to or usability of the cargo area.

As overpriced, and as bad as their offering is, they seem to be first to the market.
Any idea when that Patriot fastback hard top is coming out? I can't find a link to anything about it on the Patriot site.

Hope they’re not pricing in current bronco premiums. Lot of vendors gonna end up with egg all over their face when demand collapses and this all crashes back to reality. Vendors beware of taking a page out of the ADM and “bought a bronco to flip it” playbook.

I dropped my modular top to get my bronco sooner, which I received last week with soft top only. Just my opinion, but this seems kinda steep. Factor in delivery and painting and you’re probably 8k?
I’ve resigned myself to having a soft top this winter. I won’t need a hard top until next fall. I’m happy to wait and see what else the aftermarket offers by then, and also at what price point. Also by then Ford may have info on their modular top.
the best thing about the bronco is, given the high volume of vehicles that will be produced, the aftermarket will ultimately have TONS of options.

As someone that has owned five Wranglers (3 JK's and 2 JL's), all with the dual top group... I have noticed [over the years] that the soft tops are getting so much better (operation, noise, temperature control, etc.) that I vowed to never buy a hardtop again. I simply like the all-weatherness of the soft top and you can throw it back on a whim for those warm weather days.

If I was in the other camp of not needing/wanting open air... the hardtop diehards... I'd simply wait it out and order it from the factory. With hopes of the bugs being ironed out, you have an affordable hardtop option, with a factory warranty.
