ADV Bronco Hardtop Pricing ANNOUNCED

I don’t get the impression ADV is in the business of selling cheap crap at low prices. There will be plenty of other options for that. From the looks and reviews of their other products, their work is immaculate. This top should follow suit. A premium product at a premium price.

There are other vendors on this site who are selling (admittedly nice) products that are extremely expensive for what they are, but they don’t get nearly the amount of shit that ADV does…

I’m certainly not giving them crap just stating facts. And selling for less $$ doesn’t mean “low” prices. I think the pushback they’re getting is asking people to show interest in a high priced, unknown product. Much like Ford did.

I have not seen their top but I am the proud owner of their fiberglass heat extractor hood for the Bronco and I can attest that the product is top notch quality and the best aftermarket fiberglass work I have seen.

actually winning is driving and off-roading my Bronco right now and for the last 5 months ..Love the soft top, but originally was going to order the dual top option.

In addition I got my Bronco 4 door 2.7 Badlands, Sasquatch LUX for $2000 under invoice ...Winning

No still losing LOL jk to each their own, but the majority of folks would disagree when it comes to money gonna be coming out of pocket in the future

I'm like you. I haven't seen the actual top, no one has. The fact of the matter here is ADV isn't making anyone buy their top. They produced it, they priced it, and if we don't want to pay that price, we don't have too. We can wait on the Ford MIC top, and solve the price problem easily. But if we opt to get the soft top on the off chance we can get our Broncos earlier thinking of buying a hard top later, then we pay the price or stay with the soft top. I agree if the price were lower they may sell more. But none of us know what the price of making the top is after all of the overhead costs are figured in.

Same as with Ford. People complaining about Bronco…no one is forcing people to buy a Bronco. My issue, as it was with Bronco, is showing interest in a high priced product sight unseen.

For a small scale hand laid fiberglass top like this is versus an industrial scale operation like Webasto this is probably right in the ball park pricing wise.

I think the manufacturing "experts" here forget this key detail. OEM has the economy of scale advantage, you need to sell A LOT OF TOPS to see a discount in the sheer amount of work behind design-production costs.

$5-6k is pretty much what I thought it would cost. I laughed at the "why aren't more manufacturers jumping at making hardtops?" posts.

Thanks! I did saw the pricing 10 months ago, but cannot trust my memory. $2000 was roughly what I had in mind. If we are right, an MIC top was around $2000, a stock soft top would be ~$1300. Shipping cost will be a lot, if shipped separately from the Bronco.

I see what your saying, but I still don't believe the soft top from Ford would cost you 5k and the modular 5800 for the upgrade which is what they would be assuming to be competitive.

Don't want this to come off snarky but seems you've never gone to the parts department to order OEM parts. When we got my wife's explorer we found one that had every option we wanted, but not the 20" wheels but no deal breaker. It was a 995 option on B&P. Just for S&G looked at the parts department each wheel was 365 and each tire OEM was 255 so almost 2500 to do it after the fact and that's not including mounting/balancing. Ford OEM parts through the parts counter are insanely expensive.

Admittedly, the price is higher than I feel comfortable paying, but I am happier with my soft top than most as well and see the advantages/disadvantages of owning a soft top only vehicle.
A bit off topic but supporting: I know what aftermarket body parts cost, and their pricing on the front fenders is amazingly in line with that, especially given the quality and fitment of the panels. Same with the $1200 set of rear quarters. That took a ton of work to get right, and they seemed to have done a great job at it.
No reason to think the top would be any different for quality and fitment. It's just more than I am comfortable investing in one at the moment.
In the world of AM parts, most times you DO get what you pay for when dealing with basement-level comparative prices. Ask anyone who drives a Jeep and ordered one of those $300 stubby bumpers, or the rock rails that rust in the first 2 months.

And a final thought/agreement:
There are bumpers on the forum offered that once decked out with a winch and lights, can cost above $6K. For a bumper. To me that's abundantly crazier than the spread of pricing on these tops vs. what we THINK others can/will bring to market.

Not a ADV advocate or fanboy. Just saying although I won't be buying the top, I can see where attention to detail and longevity matters. And if it follows suit with the attention given to their other stuff, it's not going to be the JC Whitney-level tops others will be offering.

I am also a fan of Patriot, being veteran-owned and USA made. I think both companies deserve a fair shot and a fair shake at this thing before we come with pitchforks and burning cacti to their front doors.

The unfortunate sad part about this all... is that Ford asked us to switch to a soft top (and will throw in the prep kit) with no ability to execute the dual top option to lock in that price. Would have been nice to at least purchase at the time of order and have the MIC shipped later whenever it's available.

So now we are all stuck waiting with no clue with how much the MIC will actually cost as an accessory. Just keep in mind... it's going to be significantly more than we think it should be most likely. Take the bull bar for example... if you order it with your car it's a $300 upgrade. If you buy it as an accessory its $520 plus shipping.

As mentioned before, I am going to be purchasing ADV's top since the wife wants a hard top too as long as the prototype looks good in terms of quality. But everything I have seen from ADV so far has looked great.

It is true that after market parts do not enjoy the sale volume. However, for the hard tops, a half of the design has to copy the MIC top, otherwise the new top won't fit the Bronco for installation. The shape above the bottom edge can be changed by the designers. The materials like fiber-glass won't be new. They have done it for Wranglers, right?

Well thought out Dave. Myself, even though the top is 5K I'll probably get one one. Hell, by the time I get my Bronco I'll be close to 70 years old. What else am I gonna spend all that hard earned money on. I want my last check written to the undertaker, and it bounce.
