@ADV Fiberglass can you please give us an update on the status of your development?
  1. How is the design, mold construction and prototype coming along?
  2. How are the interruptions to your supply chain going to impact your release dates?
  3. How are the realities of inflation going to impact your consumer pricing?
  4. With the realization of these new realities, how will they impact the viability of the product going forward?
  5. Due to these new realities, are they requiring you to make product trade-offs, such as thinner laminate, making your design susceptible to the same sharkskin effect as the Ford MIC top?
  6. What testing are you doing to validate the design, such as, are you parternering with someone like NTS Fullerton to do any testing or at least replicating those industry tests in your own facility, such as Temperature, Humidity, Icing, UV Resistance, etc.?

@ADV Fiberglass can you please give us an update on the status of your development?
  1. How is the design, mold construction and prototype coming along?
    1. Design is already finalized. Majority of molds are finished, we are finishing up the last few pieces of tooling. Prototypes are now expected to be finished in July.
  2. How are the interruptions to your supply chain going to impact your release dates?
    1. We are currently on track to ship the pre-orders on the specified month on the website (at the time of order). This date will be different depending on when our customers placed their orders.
  3. How are the realities of inflation going to impact your consumer pricing?
    1. Our pricing is not expected to change for the remainder of the year. There is a possibility of a price increase in 2023.
  4. With the realization of these new realities, how will they impact the viability of the product going forward?
    1. We are very certain that our hardtop will be a superior product to anything offered on the market.
  5. Due to these new realities, are they requiring you to make product trade-offs, such as thinner laminate, making your design susceptible to the same sharkskin effect as the Ford MIC top?
    1. No, we have not made any trade-offs. The product that we showed from start to finish is the product that our customers will be getting.
  6. What testing are you doing to validate the design, such as, are you parternering with someone like NTS Fullerton to do any testing or at least replicating those industry tests in your own facility, such as Temperature, Humidity, Icing, UV Resistance, etc.?
    1. We will do a number of tests to the first prototypes (Exact tests TBD). However the engineering teams used for this project have developed hardtops for OEMs and are well versed in how the design and manufacturing must go to provide an exceptional product.

this is a great update; I was on the verge of calling you up on Monday to find out what's new.
I had noticed on my many visits to your website that the availability date kept being pushed back. I was hoping, as you confirmed in your response, that the original due dates are still good for the original reservationists and the later due dates are for new orders.

MY DEALER HAS ASKED ME ABOUT THE INSTALLATION VIDEO, when do you expect to have an install video up on your site so I can forward it to him.

I know of several people who want him to install their hardtop. They are waiting to see what mine looks like before they order.

The install video will come soon after the prototypes. No firm date for the instal video yet, but with that being said, we understand the importance of it and it will be high priority.

I am going with ADV hardtop because I trust their process and they make great products that I think will be superior to the factory hard top. Plus, there has already been some info circulating that the hardtop from Ford will be in the 7-10k range.
I am with you. Their F150 Raptor Fenders and amazing. that they make. Plus will give it a more custom look when you start seeing a lot of Bronco's on the road in the coming years.

Thank you for the update, two further questions:

1) You say "the product that we showed" therein lies lies one of the issues, you have not show an actual product, just CGI renderings, do you have any partial photos you can show?

2) You say your team is "well versed in how the design and manufacturing must go", that is great news, I have spent years in engineering design and testing as well. However, no amount of knowledge replaces actual testing as every product is different and testing will always find those differences and issues. Design knowledge will not validate that product will not delaminate or fade due to UV degradation, only testing will find the limitations. Your continued updates are greatly appreciated.

1) The renderings we showed was finalized CAD data. We will post pictures of the prototypes as soon as they arrive.
2) We appreciate your in-depth questions. We will post the results to tests conducted when they are completed.

We will be sure to update all customers as soon as the prototypes arrive and testing has been completed. Have a great rest of your weekend.

Here is an old SoCal aerospace test trick when you need to test something large, like a ten foot solar panel, R-Tech foam insulation board, taped togeather in any size test chamber you need. Great for testing Temperature, Humidity, Icing, UV Resistance, etc.
