What are the chances some of these would be used for the Off-Roadeo events?

Pretty good chance, unless there is something wrong with them that jeopardizes safety. When I went to Ford Performance Raptor Assault back in 2018, they were still using many Preproduction raptors in their fleet. The raptors had 7-9k miles on them and I'd bet majority of it was mountain climbing miles. These broncos could serve as on going quality/durability tests.

I cant think of a better way to durability test a vehicle.. a bunch of us idiots beating them to hell in the off-roadeo haha

Just finalized my build. Ended up with a 4 door outer banks. Black. With same colour roof. And sound deadening liner. Also opted for the two tone black and brown leather/vinyl. This is so exciting. Should arrive june/July in Toronto.

My dealer said that Ford is currently making models for the dealers to place on lot for marketing purposes. They are required to keep them on the lot for at least six months before they can sell. I don't know if that is accurate for these units or not.

The very first production unit, VIN 001, is being auctioned off on March 27. These units are all pre-prod and are not the dealer units. The dealer units will have VINs and be able to be sold after 7 months. The dealer units are being built in April/May.

I just noticed this in Ford’s sales report PDF for last month... they reported building 99 Broncos at Michigan Assembly Plant.

Thought it was interesting that they include preproduction units in the stats.

Only 4000 Sports built in January. I wonder if they expected more demand.

Just wanted to point out that they also made nearly 10,000 Rangers at MAP in a month that had tooling change-over, down-time and substantial time dedicated to sorting out Bronco production.

Now, if we conveniently ignore all aspects of just-in-time manufacturing and global shortages of labor, parts and materials (as many have done on here), then this is a very good sign that MAP will be producing a lot of Broncos. Especially as they are over-producing Rangers to clear the way for higher Bronco production than will be necessary in a few years time.

Saw that there were some mandatory Saturdays scheduled. It may be to get ahead of the game or it is just to make up any current production losses. Haven't heard it announced but the plant has run 3 shifts in the past with Focus/CMax models. Unless suppliers can provide extra product most likely they will stay with 2 shift and lots of overtime. Then we hope there are no further supply chain interruptions.
