how did you find that out? i think mine may be the same but I'm not sure how to check.
If you're referring to my reference to Levine, that was just his response to a random question on twitter about the Broncos sitting at MAP since late June.

I appreciate the frustration here but do you really think this is something that people can plan through. I’ve worked in supply chain for over 20 years and I’ve never seen anything like this. I have seen short term disruptions to the supply chain but we are talking about a sustained 18 month shortage of everything… raw materials, parts and labor.

I want my Bronco too, it sucks, but trying to blame this on the production planners at Ford and claiming they need to be fired because they can’t schedule anything because they don’t have line of sight to 25% of the parts is ridiculous. You want someone at a one step above entry level position to lose their job because the entire supply chain is broken right now?
There is a lot of solid information (including pictures) from new bronco owners and insiders that the manufacturing issues at Webasto are more a result of quality issues of produced tops than a shortage of materials.

Hence, you may be able to crank out 300 tops a day, and if 50% end up on the scrap heep, then I suppose you could call that a pandemic related supply chain disruption ……but is it really?

😂😂😂 Hey not all of us young guys with MBAs are idiots. I had 10 years of work experience on my application, and worked full time while getting an on campus MBA.

I grew up doing construction, if I wasn’t in school I’d have been hanging drywall, and that fact alone kept me in school. Sadly you did describe ALOT of my peers perfectly.. lots of degrees funded by mommy and daddies money. 7-8 years of school, 0 work experience.

Losing interest at this point.
I bought the following 3 weeks ago. Been cleaning it up and getting it ready for Rock Crawling
Already did a test run with it, and by Mid August, should be hitting the trails multiple times a month.

Ford Bronco 8/2 Bronco Scheduling Cancelled - Again! img_4934-jpe

I'll still wait for my Bronco, but now it doesn't matter when, or if it arrives.

Just give me one of the defective "honeycomb showing through" tops and I'll have it painted. This joke ain't funny anymore.

I want heads to roll much higher up the chain of command. The failures of the Explorer launch should have been in the minds of any top executive at Ford. Covid-19 is not a legitimate excuse in my mind because they launched the vehicle months AFTER the onset of Covid. If you make the decision to not delay the launch then you can't use Covid as an excuse afterwards. Having just-in-time supply chains is fine for established products in normal conditions, but at a new product launch you need to have a robust supply of parts. To have component constraints from day one of production is a sign of incredible incompetence. To not have your contractors at full component production months before the start of production of vehicles to ensure a steady supply and work out kinks is a sign of incompetence. You don't streamline your supply chain until after your production lines are fully up and running.

This is will be a case study in business schools in the future of just about every way you can fubar a product launch.
Well said. This whole product launch has been a Cluster Fuck since the opening day of reservations when their servers crashed. Even then they couldn't forecast volume and it has gone downhill ever since. Somehow we customers need to get the attention of Ford management and convey that this train wreck is unacceptable

It’s the tops, right? They don’t want pump out 24000 big bend stock units and the MIC issue is protracted.

I suspect very few people NEED a Bronco right now. Want and need are two very different things.
I want it cause it’s bad ass and been waiting since early 2000…

tell me again why they are different?

You have to walk before you can run, and our favorite supplier is just starting to crawl.
@PREMiERdrum I hope the MAP line workers will not pay the price for slow delivery of MIC tops. Do you see any indication that MAP will simply increase the number of Rangers being built? We know the Ford Ranger has been selling like hotcakes and would seem to help both the line worker and the dealers if the build split was more like 70% Ranger to 30% Bronco. Could that happen??

What are they doing with piles and piles of defective Broncos produced between June and July? Run them through the line again?
