Did you put the top screw back in? The one that came with the original shifter? That has to be in and it holds the adaptor down in place to keep it from frying off the spring. The set screw is just to keep it from turning. I love mine.
Hmm the instructions did not include this information. I'll have to go grab that top screw and put it back on as is most likely my issue lol thanks for the reply you may have saved me!

This did solve the issue! I even went and grabbed the instructions from the trash and sure enough it's on the instructions I just didn't read it correctly:rolleyes: lol

My next issue is I over torqued it trying to get the spring to stay that I cross threaded both the set screw and adapter so now I need to see if I can order another adapter😣

Oh no. So sorry. I exchanged one that I initially got and they worked with me. Shouldn’t be an issue.
I went with Carbon Graphite Matte. Black numbers. Looks great with the Badlands interior

That looks great! It looks like it has the glitter in it too?

Yeah it’s not exactly glitter. More like graphite glitter if that makes sense. It’s rugged looking. I’m not huge fan of the adapter. I wish it was more integrated and I’m hoping Archetype Racing adapter design is better. But I guess we will see.
Btw like I said I initially got the white ball and just didn’t love it. So I took a chance and ordered this custom one. They refunded the white one and I got all new hardware. So I would just email them and ask if they can send you new hardware.

Thanks. It turned out really good. I almost got the stealth black one but glad I went with this one.

I got the stainless ball from Twisted Shifters and they sent a knob that was too small, then resent a larger ball by the adapter doesn’t seem to sit all the way down.

As much as I hated waited for the AR magnum steps, I’d get a shift knob from them. Can’t complain about the quality.

Unfortunately, that and Boomba are the only options.
I love the boomba knob, feels good, shifts good, fits good, all equally important to me

Issue with Boomba is that the knob isn’t a large enough diameter
