Question, how do you feel in regard to giving up other options for the manual?
Day to day, Remote Start would be big one for me.
Off road losing Trail Turn Assist seems like a pretty big deal but I've never had it before.

I've been putting some serious miles test driving a BadManSqatch this weekend. It has the Lux package so it's pretty nicely optioned, no issues there.

It's been twenty plus years since I had any meaningful stick shift time and I'm having fun now. But will it wear off?

Will I miss remote start on those hot days and cuss having the stick instead?
I drove an stick for ~50 years. Had to buy a Badlands Sport since my 7MT is locked away in allotment hell. I have not used the remote start yet but miss the manual on occasion. To be honest, it becomes just second nature after so many years. I really never thought too much about rowing as that’s all I’ve done for the most part. I also have to admit that the Sport isn’t too bad for a four cylinder automatic. I thought I’d hate it but it’s not so bad.

If your buying it just for the 7MT, then maybe your better off with the remote start. I’ve switched my Badlands order to a Heritage Edition but still a 7MT. I’ve driven one at a off rodeo event locally and it’s great off road but then I grew driving sticks off road so there is that. I’ve also driven one with 4.46 and true 35’s. The gearing on road seemed pretty good. The Black Diamond was on 32’s with the 4.46 and could easily follow the auto Sas’s if not even do a bit better in the deeper mud. It helped having a copilot that had been on the course the whole weekend. It was the only one there with a stick and I was the only one there that had a stick on order so I got lucky.

I don’t think you can do wrong with either choice.

Did the HE meet your expectations? The HE 4dr 7MT is The Bronco I must have...

I've already put mine in 6th at least three times when trying to start in reverse.
My last five sticks have all been 5-speeds with R at the lower right.
I have three vehicles, and each has reverse in a different location. Including a 5-speed with Reverse in the lower right, so I feel your pain. Just be careful when going back to the 5-speed. Don't accidentally try to shift into 6th when you're on the highway!!!

Yeah I have the block heater on mine...well, I ordered it at least - come to think of it I've never noticed where it actually is. I'll use it occasionally, but it's a hassle to do so at work.
It's neatly tucked into the front right corner (passenger side) towards the front of the engine bay. Not a bad spot, in my opinion.

My thought is just to install the block heater. I have the parts, but never got around to installing it last year. This way on the cold nights - plug it in and the next morning the engine is happy. I have a short commute too. Figured it was my best option.

Oh, and if you are still in the ordering process - it’s $100 vs $300 just for the parts after the fact.
Just go ahead and order it if you have any doubt. I'll rarely use it, but I have family up north who may appreciate it someday.

Which Off-Rodeo? Is it still Texas that has the sole 7MT? That’s the only thing I’ve been hesitant about signing up for NH. But, I’ll likely go in the spring.

It was an invitation only local one in northwest Rockford IL. It was a one weekend event put on by Ford.

Oh, yeah - I did that one locally too. They let me drive my own. Was that Scott you drove with?

I’m still waiting on my BL EG 7MT to be delivered, so I was hoping to live vicariously through others while I wait. Anyone have any informative tales to spin about their three pedal Bronco? Anyone take it off-road yet? Any rock crawling? Anyone use the “Crank in Gear” feature?
Picked up my 7MT Badlands on Wednesday. I love it. It is absolutely perfect. The gears are super deep, so I'm shifting more frequently, but that's the fun right? I swapped some 35's(315's) on it, didnt notice much difference at all. Thing still pulls nice.
To me, the manual is perfect. The clutch feel, the position is starts to grab, the location of the shifter, it's as if Getrag designed it for me.

I havent had it offroad yet, but I did test out the crawl gear in 4lo at work. It is laughably slow. Youre going to love it.

Mine has been delivered since I made that post and I agree with everything you said about the 7MT, it shifts like a dream. I have only done some light off-roading thus far, but it works out pretty well. In 4-Lo/Crawler, you can almost come to a stop without stalling the engine. Even if you do, the Start-in-Gear works very well (4-Lo only). Your ride looks awesome, same as what I have except color and tires.

Almost a whole year with my mt and while the boomba gear knob feels better than stock im waiting for other options @EIGHTLUG? But seriously i wouldnt order this bronco any other way than how it is. Gearing feels perfect for the tire size and acceleration after 1st gear feels like a rocket and makes me wonder why other broncos seem slower out the gate.

Thanks man! I'm not familiar with the crank in gear feature. I read it's to limp up or down hills if you stall? Havent had much time to study to details besides playing around with the dash settings a bit, and throwing on some quick bolt ons and tires. All in all, Ford knocked it out of the park with this rig. I am in love.

Unfortunately, I can't recall his name. Based on the color of my beard, I barely can remember what I ate for breakfast this morning!

Joined the M/T club a couple fridays ago with my 2 DR base, which I am loving. I'm not too technical, but I feel shifting is much more precised/controlled in my Bronco than my wife's 2021 Wrangler. Plus, this thing is really fun to drive, especially in Sport mode!
