The main reason I bought the Forescan equipment was to turn off the damn panic alarm on my Escape. I'll be doing that shortly on the Bronco.
Wow...looking at your order....Mine: Base EG 7MT 3/4/22 order, 9/9 blend, 9/15/22 deliver Port Huron Mi

Got my BB Sas 7MT sticker this morning. I am thrilled to drive a modern stick. Loved my long bed 89 F150 stick

Great color and trans choice. How are you liking the 7MT?

I like the 7M. I ordered a "base" and installed sasquatch wheels/tires, just removed the crash bars. Rides smooth and handles nicely. Shifts great. I had a 4 door 2.3 auto sasquatch antimatter blue I recd in October/2021. Sold that recently. Liking the 2 door EG 7MT much better.

There is definitely a thing with the Bronco 7mt. when backing up and then Going from R to 1st, I frequently put it in 3rd. I now glance at the dash and check that its in 1st. My other car is a manual and don’t have this issue.
Wait, does the instrument cluster have a gear indicator?

I'm loving my 7MT, but it's getting cold here (1st snow a couple days ago). Is anyone aware of an aftermarket remote start option that works with the MT?

Many options out there that will work, it's more about finding a shop that is willing to install it for you since big liability issue if you leave it in gear and start it.

My thought is just to install the block heater. I have the parts, but never got around to installing it last year. This way on the cold nights - plug it in and the next morning the engine is happy. I have a short commute too. Figured it was my best option.

Oh, and if you are still in the ordering process - it’s $100 vs $300 just for the parts after the fact.

Block heaters are standard on the Canadian models

I've already put mine in 6th at least three times when trying to start in reverse.

My last five sticks have all been 5-speeds with R at the lower right.

Yeah I have the block heater on mine...well, I ordered it at least - come to think of it I've never noticed where it actually is. I'll use it occasionally, but it's a hassle to do so at work.

Question, how do you feel in regard to giving up other options for the manual?
Day to day, Remote Start would be big one for me.
Off road losing Trail Turn Assist seems like a pretty big deal but I've never had it before.

I've been putting some serious miles test driving a BadManSqatch this weekend. It has the Lux package so it's pretty nicely optioned, no issues there.

It's been twenty plus years since I had any meaningful stick shift time and I'm having fun now. But will it wear off?

Will I miss remote start on those hot days and cuss having the stick instead?

I’m not sure how useful Trail turn assist really is, I hear that it can tear up the trail, so it may fall into disfavor over time. As for Remote Start, I have it on my Escape and never use it. With heated seats, and heated steering wheel, I don’t see the minute or two it takes to warm the seat and wheel to be a very big deal - although, I’m one of those nut cases that loves winter and cold weather. As for getting tired of the clutch over time, that’s something you will have to assess for yourself.
