I apologize if this is a dumb question or has already been answered.
I have a 7 speaker, non B&O, bronco. I purchased the popular Kicker 6.75" Subwoofer. Is my upgrade as simple as taking out the OEM subwoofer and putting in my Kicker?
Should the OEM amp work fine?
Do I need FORScan for any reason?
The only subwoofer upgrade videos I can find were 6 speaker set ups with the fake amp and speaker, requiring new amp and FORScan.
Thank you for any help or advice!

You don't mention if this was a *functioning* subwoofer setup already or the factory-delete setup. If it is the former (it's working and you are just swapping the factory sub speaker for the Kicker) then your are correct, all you need to do is swap the speakers and connect up the wiring. If it is the latter then you will also need to swap out the amp. The factory-delete amps have a red "X" on them.

I apologize for that, I have the 7 speaker with a functioning subwoofer. That's exciting to read, I appreciate the help!

Yes.

Yes

Only if you want your headlights to come on when you wear a hat.
Great news, thank you for the help! Lol I will be sure to avoid the FORScan then.

Yeah it's just taking the old subwoofer out and slapping the new one in.

Factory amp is 110 watts, which is a tad underpowered for an aftermarket sub, but it'll work just fine.

Interested to hear what you think of the results. I just upgraded the 4" front and rear with Infinity without base blockers and it sounds fantastic. Clean sound to 27 then you can tell it needs more power. I will add an amp if it is not loud enough for me with the top off but I don't think I will need it. I had to turn the bass down a little after the speaker upgrade. I had a 2023 with the sub-woofer delete and it sucked. 7 speaker with Sub-woofer- Dec 2023 build was greatly improved. Not sure if they changed anything with programing but for a stock base system now it is not bad. The 6 speaker was unacceptable. The $250 credit was a joke. Should have been $1000 that system is so bad.
