Unfortunately, It’s not an up to amount. I’m guessing they are confused. If you look at the price protection thread, you will see the amounts for this program and it’s based on what you had on order prior to the MY transition. It’s multi layered depending on when you reserved or ordered.
I think she just said "up to" because she didn't have an exact total. Makes sense as she was probably just reading off whatever materials she was provided. She said she didn't have an exact amount, but the dealer would have that info upon arrival. Probably worded it that way so she wouldn't have to go in depth and see what price protection I'm eligible for
The dealer won’t have a clue. It will be whatever is in smart Vincent and Ford knows that precisely. They gave me my exact number and it matches the information in the post above. Most dealers won’t even look at it until the vehicle is delivered and they have no input on the amount.

I’ve been told 8/8 by my dealer with no information in his system of shipment but ford marketing told me it has been “released to the carrier” which means it has shipped so I’m not as optimistic it’ll be here Tuesday but one can hope.
