Same here. I’m in PDX too. Built since 4/14/23 and still waiting for a train apparently.
We're like desperados waiting for a train....

How many of you plan to purchase a Ford ESP extended warranty plan?

I am struggling with this decision. This will be the 2nd new vehicle I have ever bought. It is over twice the cost of the first new vehicle I bought, 2006 Honda Odyssey. I did not buy an extended warranty and the transmission went out last summer at 16 years old and 275k miles. A warranty never would have paid for itself.

This vehicle does not have the reliability rating of a Honda. I plan to keep it for the long haul and pass it on to my son. I am considering the 125k or 150k 10yr plan with $50 deductible.

What are you planning to do?
My situation is like yours 2nd new vehicle and over twice the cost of first (Nissan which is now 15 years old). If I had bought extended it would not had covered for itself because I had literally no issues till first 12 years.

But I am still planning to buy 10yr/100K extended plan. Mostly for the peace of mind, here are my reasoning. It's a new model, reliability perception of Ford, (fear due to selection bias) have been on this forum a lot and have seen engines go bust. And last but not the least because I can afford it now (price for peace of mind).

I notice a pattern, it seems like most of us whose shipment is stuck are Wildtrack & Badlands builds. I suspect there is a stop-ship due to some issue or a wait for that one missing part.

I'm an OBX sitting in limbo as well.

I do not think you are correct. Mine is showing as built. Ford said it was built and waiting shipment. I do not believe if it was waiting for a part it would show as built.

maybe it's not for a "part" and a stop-ship for some safety event? just guessing at this point because there are too many of us in this almost-ready but not shipped stage.

Based on other people from weeks prior still awaiting shipment, I think it is just difficulty in shipping logistics for understaffed railways.

My daily Ford chat yields no change and no new information. My
Bronco is still waiting to be shipped.

Let us know your first impressions. Has it met your expectations?
All mostly positive in my short time with it. I had ordered a WT with MIC and Lux. Took the $2,500 to go to Non Sas BL and soft-top. Had the soft-top open already with showers on and off...so simple to open and close.
My rebate was $6,120 which kept the price low. Bruce Johnson at Leesburg, VA Ford was great to work with.
I rented Broncos about 4 times over the past two years through Turo....so I have some experience with them.
  • Soft-top seems about same as hard on noise level but opening the back will take some getting used to.
  • I went from black on the WT order to Cactus on this one. Glad I did. Love the color and contrast with all the black accents.
  • Door jamb protection is ordered, as are handles on the roll bar. A lot of CG showing that will be very scratched.
  • Like the wash out interior.
  • 12 inch screen is great
  • I haven't had anything but leather seats since my 89 Toyota Pickup. The vinyl is great.
  • This joins a fleet of vehicles that are all great for their purpose....I really should reduce the inventory:
    • 2020 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro - Bullet proof and great for the family of 7 when we all need to go and take the 120lb Bullmastiff
    • 2022 Lexus RX 350L - Wife's car
    • 2002 F350 Crew Cab Dually w 7.3l. I like bulletproof. And it hauls. Now a garage queen.
    • 2020 Mazda MX-5 with Brembo, Recaro, BBS package - So fun and cheap to drive.
    • 2010 Honda CRV - kid car.
  • My daily for the past decade plus was a 2004 LX 470 (Land Cruiser). The Bronco is as close in size and feel for capability as I have driven to the LC. Not as plush, but updated and not rusted!
I haven't liked the instrument panel since I first saw it. Still hate it. Low point of the vehicle so far.
