I'm just finding this thread, but I have the same conundrum now that Ford is saying they'll sell the 'Squatch with the manual. I have been trying to convince myself that "33's will still look cool with the BL fenders" but I'm insisting on a manual and my inner 5 year old wants the big beefy rubber...

I am going with a badlands and keep going back and forth from stock 33s to upgraded 33s to sasquatch and back.

The upgraded 33s and the 35s are the same tire, correct? just different sizes? If that is the case, will there really be much of a difference between ride quality and noise with those two?

It's a hard choice because if you upgrade to the 33s and the different wheels, it's more than half of the price of the sasquatch package at which point, why not just go all the way?

I'm going base and immediately upgrading so also deciding on size, but pretty sure I'll be disappointed with anything less than a 33". I have no worries on a 33" clearing and I think a good AT 33" is the sweet spot for looks/off-road capability/highway manners.

Question - anyone have wheel recommendations for something in the $150 range? I do love those Method Racing/fifteen52/etc. wheels but not willing to pay $275-300 for each. Looking to keep the wheel/tire upgrade around $1500.

I am currently on a BL with the 33" KO2s.

I think it's the perfect mix of livability/snow/trail handling. I won't be doing any rock crawling.

But I am wondering if I won't miss having Squatch at some point.

For those of you staying with the 33s, are any of you considering getting the 4.7 gears in case you want to upsize later? The trade-offs, even if you stay with 33s, are minimal.

Thoughts?

In the same boat as you. Do I get Squatch and downgrade later if I want a quieter ride and better highway driving or do I get the 33s and upgrade later if it looks anemic on a 4 door? If I don't get squatch, I won't be adding a lift later so I would get 34s but the KO2s really are nice tires. What we really need is to be able to compare a stock Badlands with a squatched one, preferably in person..but pictures would help.

Since I can get the BL with 4.7 gearing w/o getting the sas package, that is what I am going to do.
I don't care for the sas flares or tires.
Then I will either just go with a 285/75/70 tire (kinda of a pizza cutter 34) and be done with it or go 37's with hopefully no more than a 2.5 inch lift aftermarket.

I'm committed to a manual Badlands, so I automatically get the 4.7 gearing.

The 2-door looks great with the 33's and the optional bead-lock wheels, so from a looks perspective I will be very happy. My two concerns are what Sasquatch suspension bits am I going to be missing out on and, of course, the wait time for the ManSquatch.

I'm going BL/No Squatch. I'll look for someone who got a lower trim who wants to buy the BL tires and wheels. Then get a 2" lift and some 35x13.50's if they can fit without rubbing. Had those on my Jeep and they looked awesome. I just wish that 15" rims would work so I could get the Toyo Open Country tires.
I also like having the smaller fender instead of the wider Squatch fenders.

I have your exact same question. I want to go Badlands no Squatch with the 4.7. I haven't been able to get a good explanation of why I would or would not want to go this route (pros/cons). Mine will be DD and plan to do some Overlanding. I had it set in my mind to go with the Badlands+Squatch, but decided the 33 A/T's would be my best bet. Again, I have yet to find a clear explanation as to what you miss out on getting the stock suspension. From what I have seen, its the difference between 35's, bead lock capable, and slight clearance increase. People mention the fender flares, but I haven't seen that those are the Squatch ones. Essentially I feel that by getting the 4.7 I would only have to do a few minor mods to get the "Squatch".

I'm going BL also (no plans to squatch), but I thought BL has the same suspension as a squatch, so adding 35's would not be a problem (unless you're going with a wider 35"). I'm sure there's a thread out here about all this... So the question is, does BL truly have the same suspension as squatch?

Ford shows three different suspensions: Standard, Badlands, High Clearance. What that means, who knows.

I bought a 36,000 f150 in 2011. A week later, I got the bedliner sprayed in. It looked fantastic.

A week later I went to Duda to get a couple of pallets of sod.

The guy there was stunned when I opened the back. He said, This is brand new.

I said, It's a truck.

With the 35s being m/t, once they wear out, what is a good a/t version at that size?
