Just finished installing RC's
50 Inch Spectrum Series LED Light Bar
Wanted to share as I had been hearing about a distinct whistling noise folks have mentioned. After the installation I took out for a spin and around +70 ish is the only time that I heard any whistling, and it was faint. But then again my hearings not what it used to be...

That's the ONE thing that kept me from getting a roof-mounted lightbar. It's an issue with almost all of them. They make fin covers that reduce/restrict the airflow that some have mentioned help. When I got to that point in my research, I decided the bumper mounted light bar was better suited to my needs.

I admit that it had been weighing on my mind, with regards to the noise. Now, I don't have a soft top and my hearings not what it used to be. I also didn't use the norm for running the lightbar wiring to the OEM upfitter switches (no drilling in upper A pillar).
Last night on my way home I did hear some, but again it was around 70+ when I heard this. And between the road noise/tires and wind on the highway (we get pretty gusty winds up here) the noise was very suttle. Otherwise the RC Spectrum seams to minimize the noise issues from what I am finding. I don't know if it's a design difference, compared to like Rigid's design or others out there.

Yeah - I have a Roof Rack that probably contributes to my 'noise situation' anyway. Above 40 MPH, I hear what sounds like the passenger window cracked open (but clearly coming from the roof). I have resolved to myself that it's just something I have to live with. I knew that I wasn't getting a Cadillac (and all the [quiet] amenities) when I got the Bronco.
