When I bought 2025 Bronco the only option I wanted that it didn't have was a hitch. I have a small motorcycle trailer to tow so I went to the dealership to order the hitch and get it installed once the dealership started adding up the parts $417 for the harness, $637.88 plus $150 freight (because it is backorder so they have to get from another dealer) and then 8.5 hours labor to install it then throw in taxes we are over $2k CDN for a trailer hitch which seem ridiculous. Anyone install a hitch on 2025? Is it significantly different from the 2024 model year? I know it is a different part number. Any after-market options?

This is what you need.

It needs to be done by the dealer so they can update your trucks computer to know it has a hitch.

$499.00 for the kit and $196 for installing it. (As of summer 2025) This should be all you need.

It is different from 2024 but I am not sure how. And very different from pre-2024.

Same thing @Rivers90 posted, but from the Canadian website. Even with install should be cheaper than $2000, although I guess I have no idea what Canadian labor rates are, so maybe I'm wrong.

You can also try to do the physical install yourself and work out a deal with your dealer to do just the computer programming piece. (Technically you can do the programming piece yourself as well, but most people don't have the necessary computer equipment to get it done.)

I just purchased a 2025 and the hitch was not included off the lot. I saw someone else mention this and looked on mine - there is a 7 pin connector already installed and tucked up under the bumper. Anyone know if you can wire to that and install the hitch yourself? The wiring is the worst part…

Nova Scotia here. Bought mine at Fairley and Steven's in Dartmouth. My hitch was part of the vehicle purchase but arrived after I took possession so i was not charged for the install. The entire installation including the programming was less than 3 hours if I recall correctly (I may be off a bit) but it was certainly not anywhere near 8.5 hours. I think your dealer is hosing you.

I just need a hitch for bike/ski/gear rack. Not planning to tow anything. So planning on just putting a $50 Amazon hitch on.
Just got my Bronco Outer Banks on Saturday.
Looks like there is a dummy cover holding the trailer wiring harness where the hitch goes.
So I assume removing that cover won't cause an issue? Where should I tuck/attach/zip wire the harness.
Thanks in advance for any help.

This is an easy DIY install, just have the dealer activate the modules. Should do for no cost, shouldn't take them more than 10 minutes.

Do you have a photo of what the connector looks like?
