First observations about 2025 vs 2022…

Suspension tuning is different…not sure it’s better or worse, but the 2025 suspension seems to be more compliant (plush) vs 2022.

Stereo Sound System: my 2022 had base sound system and it wasn’t horrible(7 speaker). The 2025 BO is much better than I anticipated…it’s definitely a sound system you could enjoy without any modifications.

Rear AC vents : Finally, rear seat passengers are as comfortable as front passengers.

Cabin: The interior is noticeably quieter in the 2025. Less wind noise and much better at highway speed.

Motor / Transmission: 2025 is a bit smoother but seems to be less powerful. It’s a new motor so maybe it will find some more power as it breaks in…shifting is almost identical. The one area I didn’t like on my 2022 was the way it held gears too long …maybe a software strategy to save gas and wear and tear on transmission…the motor has torque to spare but it holds gears instead of surfing the wave of torque.

That’s is for now…only have 400 miles on it.

Cheers

Nice “upgrade” and congrats. I just saw an identical Marsh Grey Braptor yesterday and it was GORGEOUS! Pictures don’t do this vehicle the justice and respect it deserves! Kudos to you sir. 👍🏼

I traded a 22 Wildtrak for a 25 Squatch OBX and agree. Now I went from a Soft top to a painted hardtop so road noise is much improved anyway, but overall it just seems a bit more refined to me - and B&O Sound System improvements are outstanding.

After 3 happy years , my Area 51 Raptor has left the stable …loved that rig. In its place Marsh Gray….I think I am happy!

Beautiful Raptor and thank you for that little report. I just changed my order on a 2025 Raptor to a 2026 Raptor. I figured by time my 2025 gets here the 26s would be out, so I am just curious when did you order your 25 or did you pick it up off a lot? And thanks again for the little update about what you like and don’t like about you’re 25.

Very nice! Will be interested to see how the painted tops hold up vs. MIC long term.

My guess is they cannot be worse. Inherently the painted top should solve the delamination problems that seem to plague the MIC (unless they end up with their own issues). I haven't heard of anyone with an issue yet on a painted top (or the similar Heritage top).

Fingers definitely crossed! I do like the MIC as it's just one less surface that doesn't need handling with gloves and lots less care. But if mine were to fail out of warranty, and the painted tops are indeed better, I'd consider one as I like the overall functionality of the OEM tops.

The painted top looks great on the Marsh Gray. I saw a black Bronco with a black painted top and that also looked really good. Not sure I'd go Cactus on a Cactus, probably black.

I ordered my 2025 in may 2025…it may have been an existing build , but I was able to make changes until @70 days ago …small changes but changes.

The price was good..@ same price as my 2022 with more equipment.

Congrats on the trade! That’s a solid upgrade—going from a soft top to a painted hardtop definitely makes a noticeable difference in road noise. The refinement you’re feeling makes sense, and the B&O sound improvements are such a nice touch. Sounds like you’re really enjoying the new setup!
