2025 Base Model to Signature Headlights

I read somewhere else on this forum the 2025 Base Model is “missing” a wire in the headlight connector which would prevent them from swapping to signature headlights. Is this true? Has anyone found a work around?
If you go with aftermarket headlights that looks similar to OEM like LED Factory or Oracle or others, do you still need to update the vehicle in ForScan?

If that is true, it must be something only on newer model years. I have a 21 Base and the OEM signature headlights swapped in perfectly with no FORScan changes required.
