FWIW, I got a check from my dealer after the deal went through. Not a big deal. Weird that it didn't roll into the deal but whatever...

Just picked mine up on Sat and dealer claimed to have no knowledge of the price protection. Also said Vincent didn't show anything. Pulled the up a article on my phone and showed them, they deducted the rebate amount. I want to believe they did not know but they have processed a few broncos and should be well aware.

Restarting an earlier debate...

In Ohio, and I assume other similar states, "tax base is never reduced by any form of rebate". But then they say that "The vender must charge tax on the THE TOTAL AMOUNT CHARGED AT THE TIME OF THE SALE". Which implies that an instant rebate (applied at the time of sale) would in fact reduce the tax collected.

Makes me wonder if an "instant rebate" is really defined as price discount, regardless of what the manufacturer calls it (i.e. Ford's price protection is not considered a "rebate" in the State of Ohio). It's only $78, but it seems stupid to get charged taxes on something that was not purchased.

I have a hypothetical regarding the price protection voucher. If we have a qualifying MY'21 reservation/order resubmitted for MY'22, the voucher is attached to our account. Now, that voucher is only good towards a MY'22 Bronco purchase. But can that voucher be used towards any MY'22 Bronco purchase? Or can it only be applied to the original order.

So I just received clarification from my dealer that the voucher can be used on any MY'22 Bronco and the buyer's name matches that which the voucher is issued to. It is not tied to the original qualifying order.
