When did Ford accept my money and enter into an agreement to build me a Bronco.

If I go stand in line for a movie release and I'm there for three hours before the theater opens, I've still been waiting for three hours.. My wait doesn't start when the ticket office or doors open.

I stand by my 520+ day statement.
Ford accepted my money and agreed to build me a Bronco on 7/14/20. Bunch up in here were 7/13/20...
Ford never promised anyone a Bronco (certainly never entered into an agreement to build one) with a reservation, there were an uncountable number of disclaimers and statements to that effect in the reservation verbiage. The answer as to when Ford took your money and promised either of you a Bronco is never, they never did. They promised you the opportunity to order a 2021 Bronco at your preferred dealer. If you did make an order with a dealer, your reservation wait is over, it was fulfilled. Your reservation allowed you to order, that was it's most basic attribute. You cannot add that into the wait time from your time of order, two separate things. Like standing in line for a move to get a ticket. Guess what, you got a ticket, has zero to do with the length of the movie. No matter how much you believe and 'feels' it does.

The OP mentioned his dealer estimated a time from order, how is time from your reservation added to the time since your order (and not even subtracting the month of time between before they actually started producing them) relevant?

Isn't the fact that you have waited nearly nine months from ordering dramatic enough without embellishing it?

C’mon. Let’s not let logic and reality get in the way of a good old fashioned dramatic anti-Ford rant on this site!

Hey all, new member here. Ordered in Cactus gray with a few add-ons, manual/2.3T. Sales Manager said build times for the 2022's is 3-4 months. I'll hold my breath. How much will they try marking it up when it comes in?
We have no idea what your dealer will do today, or months from now. Personally I’d at least get verbal confirmation that there isn’t any market adjustments and that it’ll be just what is ordered without any dealer add ons like nitrogen tires, or tint. That won’t hold up in court but it’s debatable if a signed agreement would force either party to anything anyways.

Regarding timeline, 2 or 4 door? If 4 door and the dealer’s got decent allocations, the 3-4 months might be correct. I’ve seen others like myself report being scheduled for build shortly after placing basesquatch orders. I think the next round of scheduling will be for March builds, which could be delayed, and then transit to dealership, which has taken way longer than expected for some (months), and happened very quickly for others.

Welcome to the forum WG. Those specs will make a nice Bronco. You're wait may be a be more than the salesperson stated though. There are a lot of variables that can lenghten your wait these days. Some of us here, myself included, are a bit yesty with Ford at this time. But, we wait with the hopes we will see our Broncos in the driveway some day. When we finally drive that new Bronco home all will be forgotten. And, do get a signed agreement if nothing else for your peace of mind. The horror stories here on the forum would curl your hair.

Thank you, I’m glad someone said it. Seeing those posts get worked into every other thread here is getting annoying.

$38,900, base two door with a few goodies.
I’d honestly love to see you get a 2 door in a few months. I’m skeptical but would love it for you. I went with 4 door auto because family, but am contemplating a second 2 door MT for the long term. Would be cool to see how slow/quick they are able to turn around new orders for a 2 door.

Nice, get a two door for yourself for sure 😎👍

I’m skeptical and assuming 3-4 months until the build starts, which is also fine. I’ve wanted one since they were rumored to go into production but didn’t really have a use for one at the time.

Trust, but verify.

If they are a good dealership, the'll have no issue providing a written price. If they don't wish to, go elsewhere. Your wait may well be more than you expect, I'm at 520+ days :)
461 days today for me

I didn't ask anything about markup because I assume everyone involved is an adult, but you're right, this is a dealership. However, I did check them out on Google reviews and they are damn near flawless, unlike the stories I've heard about Westway Ford in Irving, TX. Also, there was no deposit required. We'll see what happens.
HA HA HA HA adults, thats funny......🤣

Youth? I’m anything but that. All I’ve heard about are people waiting for their 2021 models which are showing up late, nothing on the 2022s. Which doesn’t mean anything just yet, but has anyone else heard similar on the 2022 models as of yet?
