I was running up against the three year warranty and had a small list of issues that were fixed. One was my steering wheel - the stitching came loose a couple times and dealer stitched it (after two failed attempts of reordering a steering wheel) about a year or so ago.

However I just got the new replacement steering wheel and it’s much better. I don’t know if the parts changed, but the material and stitching is way better than my 2021. It’s as if they changed vendors/materials after the initial 2021 run? The 2021 steering wheel had slippery leather with thick rough stitching that almost looked like it was done by hand (although I know it wasn’t). The steering wheel replacement has a tighter/grippier leatherette and the stitching is finer and tighter. The build quality is significantly better. I swear the materials used for the leatherette and stitching are different than my 2021 (in a good way).

If you have a 2021 with any signs of loose stitching, I highly recommend getting it replaced, with what seems like a now better built wheel.

Ford clearly wanted to improve the perception of the interior being cheap. In design school they talk about touch points, and the wheel being the thing you touch the most, it only makes sense they improve that first. A small thing but good on them.
