My Mustang with the 2.3 EcoBoost (and over 80k miles on the car) has had an average of 18.5 mpg over the 4 years I've had it with moderate driving (a mix of city and highway).. I'm expecting with the Bronco being as aerodynamic as a barn, it'll get less - I'm expecting about 15 mpg

Was one of the reasons I am steering away from the Jeep. The engine felt under powered and combined with poor fuel economy, I thought ford could do way better. Mid teens MPGs I can live with if I’m driving something with some serious giddy up.
I'm in the same situation as well. I don't want to order an EcoDiesel Rubicon because it'll only be available with the four door and it'll be close to $60K. A first-hand experience with the death wobble is also giving me pause for considering a solid front axle vehicle as a primary car.

I am not expecting the Badlands or Sasquatch configurations to be able to exceed 20 MPG on the highway, the 33"/35" tires plus the 4.7 differential gearing is going to kill highway mileage.

My Fusion Energi over the past 5 years and 76k miles has a lifetime avg of 61 MPG.... The Bronco could get 6 MPG for all I care- I've done my part - I'm covered.

The diesel had me excited for a while too, until I found out no manual tranny, and $60k.

How is this even possible? My 2018 mustang gt got around 22 mpg average, and I only drove it basically to two places, both off the same exit, which on the way home has an on-ramp that becomes a permanent lane on the highway...so it was go pedal to the floor every time I drove it

The F150 2.7 L Ecoboost weights about 4600-4900 lbs and gets 20/26/22 mpg. The weights not too far off from the Bronco. Mpg should be similar. I‘m cool with that.
My 2017 Fusion Sport 2.7L weighs ~4100 lbs and manages ~20mpg in mixed driving (26mpg on interstate trips at 75-80mph). Yet our 2020 Navigator 3.5L EB (450hp/500lb/ft) averages ~19mpg around town. Neither are driven “hard”. EPA estimates don’t always equate to real world fuel economy.

I’m not necessarily worried about the mPG except for the fact that I don’t want to be at the gas station all the time refilling that small tank

My 2019 ranger with the 2.3 auto gets 21.3mpg average.....My friend with the 2.7 in an f150 gets about 20. These are with 31 and 32" tires. The bronco numbers should be worst with the shorter gearing and bigger tire options, but this is a good starting point.
