2 Door OEM Sunroof?

Tried searching here and didn't see much. Looks like the front right side panel removes first, maybe this is from a non-US market? Is this a legit Ford OEM top? Aftermarket? Saw it browsing eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/198119665578

Interesting, I didn't know the 2 door painted top had a sunroof.

Stroppe and Heritage additions had those tops. Stroppe was blue I believe, Heritage was white…

They were called the "Gunner's Hatch" long before the Heritage was ever produced.

Cyber orange 2-door painted mod top with gunner hatch would have been my order if it was still available when Ford finally got to my build almost 3 years later.

Yeah, but it’s easier to remove and stow a hatch - wherever you live or go.

It would help to keep the Pup's in the vehicle, vs having the whole top off.

I suggest a seat belt buckle tether, like the one shown here (not attached to Coco yet...) One end clips into the buckle, the other to your dog's collar.

I reckon my gunner port will possibly, maybe, improbably, unlikely;
Become a picnic table top as a side-hustle.
1 easily stored
2 unlikely to be used as a gunport
3 there is no three
4 might mount on spare tire if you're handy

I guess you could say the same thing about the 4-door roof’s middle panel. Maybe Ford’s original idea was to give 2-door owners the same choices as 4-door owners.

4-door owners have 3 options for an open air experience:

1. remove front panels on the fly for front passengers,
2. remove front and mid panels on the fly for front and rear passengers,
3. remove the whole top at home before heading out for a committed topless experience.

Since the rear cap covers the rear passengers on the 2-door, adding the gunner’s hatch gave them the same 3 options as the 4-door. I certainly wish mine had it.

Now you got me on the hunt. I have been wanting a painted black top and these guys are about 40 mins from me. They have two black and one white. I am going to go take a look. If it's in good shape I'll probably pick one up at that price.
