2.7L Ford Performance Tune - How to confirm

I've had the ford performance tune installed (By Galpin) on my '23 bronco badsas for about a year now and really love how it drives. Recently, while flooring it to get around some dangerous holiday traffic, I had the check engine light flash mid pass and the motor felt like it was now a 5 cylinder. I immediately pulled into a strip mall and shut the vehicle off. I inspected the engine bay for anything obvious and let the car sit for 30 minutes. Afterwards, I fired it back up and everything was back to normal. No check engine light and no sign of anything wrong. To be safe, I took it to my local dealer that happened to be a mile away. They confirmed that there was a cylinder 2 misfire event at the stated time without ever going out to the vehicle (kinda scary that they can do that, but I guess if the app knows they would too). They mentioned that it had since cleared, and everything was coming back green. I told them to keep it and do an inspection. The next day I get a call saying the tech inspected it and did a test ride of 10 miles. Everything looked good. I picked it up and drove it for the next week and here is where the problem lies. It might be placebo but I feel like the car shifts like stock (before the tune was installed). I also found it odd that the SA mentioned when I picked it up something about a note mentioning the tune as installed on her screen which she had never seen before. I told her I had it installed by a reputably dealer and had all the documentation and went on my way. Is there any way I can confirm that I have the tune installed still and the dealer didn't reset something accidentally? I have the Procal used to install the tune and a working FORscan setup.

Did your tune fix A.S.S.? If so, you could check to see if that reverted.

I don't have the ProCal, but I thought you could connect it to your Bronco, and it should verify what tune is installed. I know you can also go ahead and re-install the tune if you wanted, using the ProCal. But if I was designing the device, I would have designed it so that it could report to you what the current installed tune is.

Did your tune fix A.S.S.? If so, you could check to see if that reverted.

The tune did indeed fix Auto Start/Stop. It's still off so I suppose that is a good sign.

If you have the adapter still you can always reinstall - it won’t hurt anything if it is installed


I don’t recall if the adapter actually tells you if the tune is on or off though - just shows the files you can flash to the Bronco (stock, tuned, rack, etc)

I went ahead and updated the procal device and reinstalled the tune on the vehicle. It feels like I remember it now, mainly the shift points and feel. Since I couldn't find a "status" anywhere on the handheld this could all be placebo on my end.
