Rail car TTGX975757 was constructively placed around 9am this morning in Omaha. I’m in a glass case of emotion.

Congrats! My 4/17 blend date that is going to Texas still doesn’t show as built or shipped. I had thought maybe they were waiting for trains or something but if you got yours then that’s frustrating. They said it’s all produced and there is no hold up but can’t tell me when it will be shipped

I originally ordered my Bronco in February of 2022 at LHM Super Ford in Salt Lake City, Utah. At the time, I was told to prepare for a long wait with an estimate of late summer early fall of 2023. I dug in for the long haul.

In September of 2022, I like most other order holders had my order converted to a 2023 model with a price guarantee, something that turned out to be kind of true. I still expected my Bronco in about a year at that time.

In February of this year, I started getting those emails from Ford stating that if I wanted the best opportunity to receive my 2023 model Bronco, I needed to take of high demand packages. I was also warned that if I didn’t get my order produced in the 2023 model year, I would need to start all over with my order. Changing my order was not a question for me as the packages Ford wanted me to remove were the very items that made the Bronco more desirable to me than some other off road capable vehicle. Still, I figured I would call my sales rep at Larry H Miller Super Ford and see what the chances of me getting that Bronco I ordered within the time frame left. I was told I was number 98 in their queue with 45 allocations left in this model year. I was told my order would “definitely be pushed back to a 24 model”.

Hearing that was a real bummer for me. I didn’t want to go through re-ordering a Bronco with the expected price hikes and new waiting times, so I decided to take the offer of buying a new Bronco Sport with the $2500 savings and not sell my existing Tacoma for off road needs. That meant three cars for two people with the Tacoma pretty much sitting around for those off road occasions that required it’s use.

Five days after making that Bronco Sport purchase, I received that email from Ford stating that my Bronco was scheduled for production the week of April 17th. I was HOT! I raved against LHM Super Ford on their site, calmed down enough to call them and explain what had just happened. They felt my email was a mistake but after they called Ford, they found my order indeed was scheduled.

Initially, I felt that LHM had misled me to get a Bronco they could sell at a higher price. Dealership management contacted me to state they wanted a happy customer and would do what they could to make me one. I was cautiously optimistic but that didn’t stop me from a lot of stress the last two months. I had a Bronco Sport that needed to be sold back to the dealership. I had a 15 year old Tacoma that I needed to sell and I had to believe that selling that Bronco Sport back to the dealership would not screw me.

I followed my Bronco build obsessively. I would check for my modules, I would call Ford Marketing. I followed other Bronco6G users as they tracked their Broncos. I couldn’t sleep at night lying in bed just thinking of everything that could go wrong. Surprisingly soon after my Bronco showed that it was built, it shipped. I had to drop by my dealership to pick up my plates for the Bronco Sport and asked if I could get the rail car number so that I could track it. They provided that information to me and I must have checked three or four times a day the shipping progress. BTW, Union Pacific’s shipment tracking sucks.

Six days after my initial shipping notice, I walked out of LHM Super Ford with a new Bronco in my hands. I did lose a bit more than $2000 in the return of my Bronco Sport. I would have liked to not lose anything but accept that coming out totally unscathed through the entire process was unlikely. On the good side, my original Bronco order could have been completely cancelled. It wasn’t. It could have been stripped of all the packages I wanted. I got everything I ordered, minus a subwoofer on a crappy sound system. Lastly, I would like to say my experience at LHM Super Ford has been great all things considered. My initial salesman was Brian S. who early on turned it over to Diego C. Most of my dealings with the purchase and sell of the Bronco Sport and the purchase of my Bronco were through Diego. I have been pleased with the service I have received and would gladly recommend LHM Super Ford to any potential Utah Ford auto purchasers.

Congrats!

This whole ordeal has been an emotional ride, to say the least.

I was shipped after only a day in Built status. Almost feels like a trick. But chat confirmed and gave me a rail car #.

Same here...you have to contact them through chat. That is where they give you the railcar. My dealer also gave me the rail #. Good luck!
