after seeing your post, I decided to call in. It really is a crap shoot to what info you are going to get from Ford. I hesitate to even post this, the lady was so nice, but I donāt think she had a clue. Here were the main talking points to our conversation:Normally I would totally agree! I just got through to an actual person, she told me that my build has been completed and I will have a delivery date within the next 4-5 days. She also stated that estimated time for delivery from MI to MS via convoy is around 2 1/2 weeks. Trying not to get too excited but that is more detail than I have received in months! She gave me a number to contact with any questions and said it is the bronco detail line so for everyone wanting to sit and listen to some bad elevator music for a few minutes to hopefully get some new details.....800-334-4375.
- me: I had a build date of 2/7 wanted to check on it. Her response: all I see is it is āat the plantā nothing on 2/7, it actually says 1/31 (which was my original build week before the website updated a while back)
- me: cool, so if the plant is up and running again should I see some movement or an update soon? Her response: I think the plant is still shut down, it was for 2 weeks, I saw that on the news
-me: ok, well does that mean I will be near the front whenever they start up again? Her response: it depends on dealer allocation, they look at what is being built and try to make sure it is spread evenly so one dealer doesnāt have more from an order than others. Then it wonāt be until after it is built when you find out if it is being held for chips or notā¦
At that point, I just thanked her for her time and said goodnight. Her answers were so far out in left field I didnāt know what to do. Iām pretty sure the plant is running again, Iām pretty sure since I have a window sticker, the production line runs by those numbers at the top. I have no data on the chip issue. So Im just going to wait like before and pretend I never called in tonight.
