I’ve purchased a skid plate that utilizes the factory bolts for the transmission crossmembers (mine have been getting pretty banged up) torque spec appears to be 77 lb/ft however there is a notation saying to replace the nuts? Anyone have experience with this, and is this truly needed?

I’m going to be installing a tailgate table today but it requires removal of the spare tire carrier I know the lug nuts for the actual tire are 41/ftlb but what are the specs for the bolts holding the carrier together?

I’m looking at getting a 1/2 drive 100 ft/lbs torque stick for quick tire fixes using a 250 ft/lbs impact wrench. Something that will be trail worthy and not get wrecked like a torque wrench in the back. Bad idea? Anyone have a favorite brand that’s decently accurate?
