Confirmed the 110V doesn’t supply enough power. I connected it to the DC connector in the center console though and that works. Hope that helps for anyone else!
For those of you who ran into the threaded plate becoming free inside the door skin, curious if you recall how you got the fit right. I can’t get the plate flush to the inside of the door. It seems like there is a bracket of sorts in between the holes, that the plate should slide into. Anyone...

I was able to fish out the plate! But there is like a bracket in the way preventing it from getting flush on both side with the inside shell. Can’t figure out yet how to slide it into place…
Has anyone opened up the inside of their tailgate?
I was reinstalling my tailgate reinforcement today. There are threaded holes behind the sheet metal that secure the tailgate to the body. It seems to be a metal plate with two threaded holes, not secured to the frame.
Anyway, that plate came...
Not off hand but this is the issue. The inverter on the 110v doesn't throw out enough juice. You can upgrade the inverter, but I haven't taken the time to see what that entails.
For the loose plug folks, this product seems to have worked for me. I was hoping for a more natural fix for the outlet itself.

For the power issue, seems that the stock inverter does not supply...
Wondering if anyone else has encountered similar issues that I've been having with my 110V outlet. I'm planning a 2 week digital nomad road trip in a few days and need to rely on my Jackery 1000 power station for essentials.
Issue 1: Loose socket
Most plugs fit so loosely in the socket that...
Any resolution found on this? I've been android forever and loved that feature. Just switched to iphone and carplay is terrible! No pinch or pan on maps, Spotify only shows a few songs on the touch screen.
Hey, so after everything, have you been able to "scientifically" determine if there was any tangible benefit? I can't think that there isn't at least some, curious how much given the level of effort and cost involved.
Appreciate you sharing the build!
2 years in on mine as well and it's held up and I still like it. A couple of the buckles broke that hold the windows in place, replaced by dealer for free.
I See hard vs soft as total pros and cons.
While the soft is a little loud (which can be mitigated) and tends to look like a soggy diaper...
Hey All
Going Overlanding near Tahoe in about a month. Looking for a solution to store extra fuel and water jerry cans to the tailgate. Most of the options I'm seeing out there are several hundred dollars or universal types that I am not sure will fit well. Any recommendations? Pic for reference.
I was just out that way the other week, going through Cougar before camping near the trail head for St Helens. Didn't do any other trails, but doing some research showed a couple over there, plus the WA BDR. Thinking about checking that out early fall before it gets too snowy up there.
Never used Go Rhino drop steps for the D6 side step slider. Put one on briefly for fit and decided against using them. No issues, wife didn't need. Originally $223 + tax on Go Rhino, selling for $180 OBO. Located in Seattle, willing to travel slightly to meet, or can ship at negotiated cost...
Actually sorry after reading your post again, didn't realize you want to do the roof panels! There is a middle 1*6 that runs the length of the panel, which might detail that vision. I think the plywood would sag without that support.
