I really appreciate the offer. But if I put the Bronco under the knife again, it will be to install the metal one. I want to minimize my chances of breaking something else!

I haven't, but I have seen the posts about them. I might change it if I ever do any other upgrades, like the short throw or shift knob. I assume you replaced yours - do you have any detailed feedback on it?

I wait for the idle RPMs to drop below 1000, which can be 30s to a couple of minutes if it's really cold outside. It's a distinct event after starting the ignition, which I assume means the Bronco is telling me it's warm enough. Not sure how that coincides with the polling options.

This problem just developed on my driver's side. But it's the end of the cable over the rear door that's disconnected. No idea how to reconnect it since there's a rubber boot covering that area and no obvious way to disassemble. Has anyone done this repair before?

Thanks! The cuts to the lower cover were nothing special - just a trim and file. I did sacrifice the two end bolts that connected it to the channel in the soft top frame because it made for an easier cut. Seems sturdy enough without.

This is the solution I've been waiting for! I've had the Slipstream security enclosure and the EZ-Lift struts both installed on my soft top for over a year and a half now, but they never worked very well together. The Slipstream made it difficult to reach and release the soft top latches, and...

I was able to recompress the struts with my neighbor's help. The amount of force it needs is no joke! Now I just need to tweak the latch positions - I guess the upward pressure from the struts slightly changed how the soft top frame sits. I hope to finish the Slipstream lid this weekend.

Hopefully my cut line won't be too jank, but I can cover it with that rubber protector from the tail piece. Wish me luck!

They don't fit together without modification. The lid from the Slipstream will prevent you from closing the soft top after installing the EZ pull, even if you remove the lid's 'tail' piece that underlaps the soft top frame. I'm just going to cut the lid to fit on mine. It won't compromise...

I installed mine over the weekend. Seems really stable and solid, and it's a huge improvement over my own attempt at a solution. But an important warning to existing EZ lift owners: the YouTube video instructions have you disconnect the EZ lift struts at the very beginning and then reconnect...

I just got this security key error on my 2022 Big Bend, trying to add Baja and Rock Crawl GOAT modes. This was the only change that failed though. Stop/Start disabled, chimes disabled, and tire size changed and relearned successfully before that.

Connected mine to AUX4 without connecting into the door wire. Although I ran the harness to that location in case I change my mind. I went the slightly harder route and ran a 16 awg wire up the driver's A pillar, through the overhead trim, down the passenger's A pillar and into to the glove box...
