With all the V-8 talk going on lately, it made me curious about the specs on my AMC 304 I had in my CJ-5 back in the day. I always felt like it had plenty of power/torque but check out the numbers:
The 2.7 has plenty of power for my F-150, so I think itāll be fine in the Bronco.
Iāve noticed a ton of it on YouTube as well. Damn near every Bronco video I watched started with an add for the Wrangler 4xe or 392 concept. Gotta admit placement, timing, and content were spot on though! ?
For me the only thing missing on the WildTrak is the steel bumper/skid plates/rock sliders. I like the idea of going the after market route for these though. They are customizations Iām comfortable doing myself and gives me something a little more unique
Prior Army (tanker) before swapping over to the Air Force. I hit 20 years in 6 months, but just dropped my application to transfer to the Space Force in 2021. Trying to see how many branches I can serve in before they tell me to get a real job! ?
Hoping the cloth interior is an āupgraded clothā. Iāve got cloth on my F-150 and itās fine, but for $50k+, Iād expect something nicer. I canāt wait to see how it stacks up against the vinyl interior on the Badlands.
I did quite a bit of off-roading when I lived on the west coast, but the east coast has been disappointing due to all the privately owned land. I still really want the vinyl and rubber flooring so I can maximize the amount of time with top off and not worry about the occasional rain storm. I...
For the mustang it costs $1.5k to go from a manual trans to the 10-speed auto. For the F-150 itās a $1k price increase from the base engine to the 2.7L. Based on that Iām guessing it will be $2.5-3k total for the upgrade in the Bronco.
Iām curious to see what the hood graphics look like. Hopefully you can delete them if theyāre obnoxious. I think itās going to be tough to make it look any better than it already looks!
Exactly what I was thinking. I was really stoked about a potential Wrangler Mojave after it came out with the Gladiator, and now it looks like we'll get the Bronco version. I love the idea of a desert runner vice a rock crawler
With the WildTrak you get the 2.7L, hardtop, and sasquatch pkg. The Badlands gets you the better bumpers/skidplates, swaybar disconnect, and drain plugs. If you're going to do some serious off-roading, I'd go Badlands. I plan on cruising the beach and hitting some moderate trails, so I went...
