  1. Skid plate suggestions for non - rock crawler

I threw on the higher trim OEM metal skids to my big bend. Less than 200 shipped to my door for the engine (MB3Z-5B018-A) + transfer case (MB3Z-7E063-A) skids. Still rocking the plastic bash plate, but will eventually throw a metal one on - I have a metal gas tank skid plate from the factory...
  2. If You Could Go Back Before Buying Your Bronco, What Would You Do Differently?

Would have added aux switches and the mod bumper. Other than that, extremely happy with my rig.
  3. When off-roading, do you use goat modes or do you manually configure your Bronco?

When I go wheelin', I typically stay in sports mode (used all the time on-road) + advancetrac completely off, since this setup still lets me go in and out of 4H + rear locker as I see necessary. When I need to drop into 4LO, I switch back into normal mode.
  4. AC air is not very cold

My 22 blows ice cold, colder than any of my previous toyotas (which were my previous gold standard). I'd take a listen to your HVAC blend doors to hear if anything is snagging and bringing hot air into the mix. That, and get the refrigerant level topped off.
  5. Can’t stop redlining the 2.3

I do the good ol' italian tune up every drive or two, only after all temps are up. I didn't do it much on my bronco until I had a performance pack ecoboost mustang as a rental in NY. Didn't realize how rev happy the 2.3 was, and definitely made me much more comfortable wringing my own unit out...
  6. Can’t stop redlining the 2.3

Just like the new manual transmission 2.4 turbo tacomas. The redline is much lower than the automatic counterparts, almost like a mini diesel engine.
  7. Are you a top tier gasoline user?

I try and stick to top tier unless I'm out in the sticks, always have pumped premium since day 1.
  8. 2022 Bronco Big Bend: Crackling-whizzing sound from left vent

Can't tell through the video if yours is throttle/RPM dependent, but mine has always been a bit chattery until the oil hits 125*F.
  9. eco mode

Did a similar 180 mile round trip on Monday, averaged 25.5MPG out, and the trip average dropped down to 24.5MPG as I headed back. All in sport mode, stayed in 5th gear on the highway. Incline/decline and prevailing winds were a factor.
  10. Breaks squeaks loud only 3,500 miles dealer said there nothing wrong it been like this since 1,200 miles not happy

Mine have always made a subtle squeal on light braking - almost like the wear indicator sound but at 40% loudness. I always check my pad and rotor condition when rotating my tires, still got plenty of meat on them! I just have noisy pads from the factory.
  11. 7mt fluids. Swapped the Ford DCT fluid for Redline MT-LV

Finally got around to changing out my factory fill with some Redline MT-LV. Took all 3 quarts, and was a very easy job. 1 hr, including cleanup. Way better shifts, much less slop when shifting from 1-2, and overall smoothness is restored!
  12. Strange door unlock behavior/door open chime

I hear you, I just crossed 4 years with my factory battery. Still holds a 12.5v resting voltage after sitting for days. I'm keeping an eye out for any weird gremlins and will swap it out then.
  13. Strange door unlock behavior/door open chime

Are you running the original battery? Perhaps, it's on its way out. Seems to be the general root for many misc. electrical gremlins.
  14. Stock 33 inch KO2 feedback please

I've got about 25k miles on mine. They are wearing really well so far. I'm still at 12/32 across the board. The only complaint is that they get a bit skittish when water is pooling on the highway (extreme downpour scenarios). Other than that, I love them. Great looks, great MPG, extremely...
  15. 2022 OBX non-SAS Tire Replacement Suggestions

I threw on a set of C-load KO2's after my stock big bend duelers ran over some roof flashing on the highway. Surprisingly low MPG penalty, about 1 MPG less than before. In typical rain/snow, the KO2s are fine, but I experienced some floating during a recent extreme downpour -- they were...
  16. 7mt fluids. Swapped the Ford DCT fluid for Redline MT-LV

About to throw some redline into my unit, first change at 31k miles. Looking forward to getting some smoother shifting. Not much noise from my unit since I'm in a warmer part of the country and my bronco is garaged.
  17. Possible coolant leak on my 1300 mile 2025 2.3???

Bummer, definitely looks like some coolant leaking out. I had to make a few adjustments to my coolant lines with the help of zip ties. Some of them were rubbing up against sharp metal ends, etc. Definitely could have been better from the factory.
  18. Rear End Collision Experiences

Be sure to have the cargo floor/pan checked out too. Mine had some slight bending after getting rear ended at ~20-25 mph. Also make sure they check your recovery points. Mine were fine, but slightly scuffed up.
  19. Bronco depreciation

Mine has been the opposite. I have no intentions to sell, but I keep getting offers from my local dealer in the mail. Bought mine for $36k and I'm regularly getting offered $30k trade ins from the dealer -- 4 years and 32k miles later.
  20. Real world gas mileage

Just did a 500 mile round trip along the eastern sierras in CA. Averaged 24 MPG cruising along the highways. 65-80 mph, 91 octane, 7MT (didn't use 6th much, I prefer cruising around 2500-3000rpm out of boost), exclusively in sport mode. Around town, I typically get 16-20 depending on how much...
