I've got the Sunrider and the only issue I've noticed is on the driver's side, just a bit of water gets in if I run it through a car wash. But haven't had any issues with rain intrusion etc., so I haven't taken any actions toward a resolution.
I got my Bronco last December but I'm following this thread because this is my dad's build week. His window sticker just posted showing a blend day of 5/31.
The Badass Tents site says the rack is rated to 75 pounds, but that seems very conservative to me. I'm not sure the exact weight of the Yakima platform but unfortunately the shipping weight was 50 pounds, so yeah, the Yakima rack does eat up quite a bit of the "rated" capacity.
Not that I want...
Sure thing. I will attach some photos below. Hopefully you can see in the pictures, but the Yakima platform comes with four clamps with these sled type things to attach at each corner to basically any kind of crossbars.
I've also just today ordered the fence kit to add to the platform.
Posted this in another thread but I thought I would post it here too in case anyone is looking for an alternate solution..
Not very fancy but I picked up this Neiko light from Amazon. Took the light bar off the spring loaded bar and strapped it to my JCR Offroad shelf. Won't work for...
Not very fancy but I picked up this Neiko light from Amazon. Took the light bar off the spring loaded bar and strapped it to my JCR Offroad shelf. Won't work for everyone's setup but it was perfect for me. No wiring, no fuss, will still be there if I take the top off, and I can remove it easily...
AMB = Antimatter Blue
It's rare because the Antimatter Blue was 2021 MY only. There are few 2 door Broncos in AMB to begin with, let alone many that would have the AB revision engine which is mostly going in 2022 and later MYs.
Installed the Yakima platform on the BadAss Tents short rack:
Also added the Las Vegas Off Roadeo sticker beside the Moab Off Roadeo sticker. Attended the Moab one in October 2021 and Vegas this month.
Tonight installed the Badass Tents rear roof rack. Very nice, didn't take long at all. I have the Yakima short platform that will go up in the next couple days and will post pics.
A couple weeks ago installed the JCR Offroad cargo shelf. Great product.
I second all of your comments about the hanger. I did not have the pliers, so getting those removed was the hardest step by far. Could not have done it without a spray bottle of soapy water.
Great mod. I've really enjoyed it on mine.
It was very easy. I want to say it took less than a half hour, certainly no longer than 45 minutes. It was the first "mod" I added to the Bronco and definitely my favorite.
It sounds you like you need a Bestop Sunrider for your front two panels. I've got one on my Bronco and one on my wife's Gladiator and it's a great product.
