Since i haven't done the doors yet, the wheel wells are a huge bang for the buck on the 2 door. I have not gotten a 4 door stripped down yet, so the structure maybe a little different. In hind sight, next time i remove the rear panels I'm going to seal up the cavity with a cover and insulate...
The siless will help insulate the cabin, and block some of the noise. I did use the felt on the plastic due to its weight, I've used the killmatt and felt in my modified raptor and it helps a ton, this is the first time using the siless, but based on how she sounds on the installed parts vs...
Not yet, i ran out of the siless foam material, but i should have another shipment in a day or so.
I know I'll be adding probably about 5lbs of weight per door, but it's not too bad, and should help the sound.
I'm sure I'll be helping a friend do the same to his in the near future, he actually thinks things through much better than me, he will take some readings.
i wish it had crossed my mind to get some readings, but going from no insulation to a couple of layers, it's a noticeable difference. Top wind noise stands out a little more though.
This weekend i decided to tackle the higher than used to road noise levels on our 2 door. After gutting the interior i am surprised that other than the carpet there is nothing to help keep outside noise at bay.
Taking the interior apart was fairly easy and took under 2 hours to get it done...
at time of my order it was only available to early reservation holders who hadn't taken delivery or had a vin# assigned. Word is that the H3.0 was supposed to be how the wildtrak was supposed to launch but constraints cancelled that. If it becomes standard for 2023 lots of early Wildtrak owners...
Great work on your setup!! I love the cantilever setup, they are harder to setup correctly, but when dialed in.... they are amazing!
I've had this setup since 2014 and am on my 3rd complete overhaul. Before all the extra work to the body, she was a complete sleeper that would fly by the other...
My buddy has the 4 door version wildtrak, his is a stiffer ride in comparison. A nice ride without question, but it's definitely and noticeably smoother with the fox shocks. Quality aftermarket shocks can be tuned anyway you like, just make sure you find a good shop that knows either how to...
