  1. Battery life?

Coming up on 4 years in March. Battery seems to be doing fine. It is a 75% daily driver and only 37K miles on the odometer. I drive both long and short distances for around 10K miles a year.
  2. Missed downshift = Scary situation in traffic 7MT

I also have a 22 Badlands with 7MT and have missed a downshift a time or two that resulted in bogging the engine but I never had a “hard stall” like you are describing. I wonder if it has something to do with ASS electronics. If you disable ASS, can you still make the problem appear? If not...
  3. How did the Bronco not make Car & Driver's Top-10 list for 2026??? (slight sarcasm)

Interesting. I remember the 3-series BMW made the list for like 20 straight years, and they did not update their models THAT frequently. Maybe they changed the criteria at some point.
  4. How did the Bronco not make Car & Driver's Top-10 list for 2026??? (slight sarcasm)

As much fun as the Bronco is to drive daily, I am just a little surprised that it didn't crack the C&D Top-10 list for 2026, especially considering the competition. The Maverick and Ranger made the list though... Maybe it is just a little too niche (but the Lucid made the list)...
  5. Can anyone help with the history on the 2.3L engine? (what other Fords use it and what years they started?)

Hoping my 2.3L will get to 300K miles. If so, it will outlive me and be enjoyed by a family member...
  6. Bronco Headlights in Snow

I was thinking of something similar: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B34PPZGV?ref=fed_asin_title&th=1 Heating cable for pipes. Maybe run it around the perimeter of the headlights? Don't have to worry about this much in Oregon, but maybe on trips to/from Montana...
  7. Damn photo radar

Unless your state is different, my guess is you chose not to post the driver photo? In my state (OR) when you get a photo ticket, you get a picture of the driver and one of the rear of the vehicle with the license plate. Only way to get out of it is claim that the person in the photo isn't...
  8. 2024, 6000 miles, exploding back tailgate window

Yup. This is what was explained to me when the sunroof in my 2004 BMW 330i imploded on the way to the airport one early morning. Luckily the sunshade was closed. After I heard the "boom" and tried to pull back on the sunshade, bits of shattered glass started dropping down on me. I took photos...
  9. Leaving key fob inside at airport

Interesting. Definitely will NOT unlock for me with the fob in the back seat
  10. Introducing the ALL-NEW M2M 2 DOOR ATTIC TRAY

The dimensions are on the website: Product Dimensions: Tray is 37.25" in length x 6.25" (at top), 5" (at bottom), and 2.75" Height and you can get a rough idea of the shape on the 4door attic shelf page: https://mountains2metal.com/flip-down-attic-shelf-factory-speaker-compatible/ For sure...
  11. Leaving key fob inside at airport

I normally keep my key on me (pocket or backpack on a D-link), but I also have a Faraday bag I stash the key in when I go to the gym and used the keypad for entry/exit. Did find something interesting about the "range" and "location" of the key fob. I had the fob in my gym bag, unlocked the car...
  12. Does anyone make replacement buttons for the interior lights that you can actually find in the dark?

Necessity is the mother of invention. Never thought of this and I have a ton of them. Thanks for the idea!
  13. Does anyone make replacement buttons for the interior lights that you can actually find in the dark?

So one nit with the Bronco that still drives me crazy after 3 years are the stupid recessed buttons for the interior lights (the buttons up on the headboard). If I need light, I have to slide my fingers all around the plastic until I find the "divot" that is the light switch. Would be so much...
  14. Let's Talk Outdoor Camping Tips, Tricks, Hacks

That is seriously old school. I assume it was so cold out that you weren't worried about the meat going bad? Or was the meat already cooked and all you were doing was reheating it? We did Underwood Deviled ham in cans and bread. We also had tinfoil, butter, and lemons. If we caught fish, we'd...
  15. 3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake (3PMSF) Rating, Is It REALLY Meaningful?

My 2004 BMW 330i with Blizzaks will charge up a snow covered road as well as my Bronco in 4WD and the BFG KO2s.
  16. New Arrival! Half Roof Rack for Bronco Hardtop 4-Door

    @Hooke Road® ?
  17. Let's Talk Outdoor Camping Tips, Tricks, Hacks

Absolutely nothing wrong with a ground tent! (I have one too) Except when it is 0* outside at night and the ground is covered with a foot of snow. That's when sleeping IN the Bronco is a much better deal :) When it is just me, I prefer sleeping in the Bronco. I can decide when/where i want to...
  18. If You HAD to Pick One… 🎄Christmas Tire Cover Edition

Serious question If you created the original artwork that is being sold online. Why does your avatar have a reversed image of the one being sold? Why wouldn't you have an avatar with the same orientation? Seems strange to me as the creator of the art that you wouldn't have it displayed exactly...
  19. Let's Talk Outdoor Camping Tips, Tricks, Hacks

I don't like spending money unnecessarily on stuff, but when it comes to in-Bronco sleeping, I haven't found anything that compares to the DeepSleep. It just works and I love it. Lots of do-it-yourself options out there, but I passed on them because the vast majority of them were "solid"...
