After a 1003 day wait, I took possession of my Bronco Wildtrak today. Introducing “Pepe, my leetle mule.” I took the name from the friendly smuggler’s Bronco in Romancing the Stone.
Thank you 66Fan for the spreadsheets! I enjoyed watching them and seeing what’s going where and when. I’m proud to say that I’m an owner of my second Bronco (the first was an 87 Bronco II). It was delivered 1002 days after my reservation and I picked it up at 1003 days. A handful of you have...
Ford is making OEM removable steps, but I don't know the part number. My dealer is prepping my Bronco for delivery and asked if I wanted them to go ahead and install them. I've decided to wait and look around at aftermarket ones too. At 6'1" I won't need them and I'm heading out on an extended...
My Bronco Wildtrak has finally arrived. It will be ready for me to pick up tomorrow, Saturday or Monday depending on when they get my rock rails and a few other goodies installed.
The dealer is charging me MSRP minus the $3620 private offer. The salesman was unaware of the further price...
When it arrives in a couple of weeks after an almost three year wait, mine will be called Pepe, my little mule, in reference to the adventure film "Romancing the Stone."
I tried to update my information in the spreadsheet for the week of 3/20 and all of the information in the entire spreadsheet for that week appears to have been deleted. I'm guessing someone inadvertently screwed it up. I sure hope it wasn't me. Is the information recoverable?
Maybe they don't like the way you drive. I get it sometimes from speed demons who zoom around me as I'm coasting to a red light. They speed up to the red light, slam their brakes on, and then floor it if they can when the light goes green.
Does anyone know if Ford (or anyone else) makes side steps that can be easily affixed to Ford's rock rails? I'd like something that is easily removable so I can take them off when I'm in the middle of nowhere or put them on when I've got shorter passengers or when I need to access the roof rack...
The excitement builds! Window sticker just popped up today and "blend date" is 3/22. Does anyone know if Ford is still taking photos as they roll off the line?
Where are you looking for it? The only place I see my dealer's information is when logged into the Ford website, the Account>Order>Details. Dealer info, at least for me, does not show up under the "Reservations" tab.
I do not have the Just pivot
I had a set-up similar to this once. Cut off the un-threaded portion of the bolt, place a lock washer on the bolt, and then attach it firmly. You should be able to place it without difficulty then. I keep a gear wrench with me at all times for speed. You'll not...
I did the same thing. And I love the "temp" that I got. Now I have to decide whether to sell it, trade it in, or keep it when the Bronco gets here. I've never had two cars. I loathe the idea of paying two insurance bills and for two tags.
I like the robot nannies. I haven't got my Bronco yet, but I get false alarms every now and then on my Honda and it doesn't bother me in the least. I suggest leaving it on to see if you get accustomed to it.
