I’ve used both Trail Control ae One Pedal drive last month in Wyoming, on a more difficult trail than Peavine In Reno. Super useful. I like them for descents too. Much more relaxing than however your foot over the break pedals fo a while.
There were family SUVs up this hill so I just wanted...
Thank you. Well explained. I figured I HAD to enter each deep on each side. I guess I could have centered a wheel in the middle and put to opposite side wheel “off trail” if that’s what you’re implying.
Just reviewing all the GOAT modes again. Looks like Baja mode (or manually making those settings oneself) would have been the trick:
4WD mode | Traction Control | Front locker | rear locker | throttle* | steering* | swaybar*
* driver cannot control without Goat / in wildtrak
4H
4A not...
Oh, forgot to ask you guys … my son said I should have turned Traction Control OFF and this wouldn’t have happened. Thoughts? Reading up on that Hero button now …
Yeah, I did not use GOAT. I mean this “mountain” (Peavine in Reno) is like easy peasy. I wouldn’t think a GOAT would need to be employed here. Even if I did use a GOAT mode, which would be warranted for a sometimes bumpy “fire road” of sorts?
I aired down to 24 psi before hand..
Heavy, that’s precisely what it felt like — the Bronco braked itself. I really would have thought in 4H, however, there wouldn’t be such computer control. But I’m probably the outlier in that thinking. As I write this, I’m thinking to myself, “Well, I suppose that’s why the rig has lockers; to...
Admittedly the right rear wheel got spinning and then the fronts kicked in, but I would have expected this from 4A, not 4H.
meanwhile … my son climbed this like a champ in a 1994 ranger with only 2WD — he’s replacing broken half shafts up front. No computer in his rig.
Do you consider this...
Ha ha … i was joking with buddies upon returning from Wyoming in my Bronco that Mall Crawling Mode was ACTIVATED as I washed up the green machine and put VRT on all the tires and plastic bits.
Honestly, I do it myself, not b/c I want to, but b/c I know it’ll be done correctly when I do it.
I also change every 3-4K, not 10k, and I have a Ronin Factory Oil Pan plug installed and simply do not trust anyone to NOT rip it out rather than use the key to open it.
That’s
That’s too bad. Is that because it’s a raptor, or do have significant mods? When I went to him, he said earlier someone with a highly modified raptor tried to get a tube (eg: even bigger lift and suspension than the stock braptor).
JoHo … I know you’re a HAM but heard something interesting a couple weeks ago that kinda, well, seems like it makes sense. …
HAM is for people looking for a hobby and people looking for people to talk to..
GMRS is for people with a hobby, looking to talk to people involved in their hobby (Eg...
