V12 is the rebuttal. Tom
  2. Squirrel may have destroyed my 2.7 not by chewing

Rodent damage to a car is usually covered by comprehensive car insurance.. It is treated as non-collision animal damage, helping pay for chewed wires, ruined insulation, and broken hoses minus your deductible. Tom

Just like other local glass shops there are good ones and bad ones. My local Safelite is a good one and there seems to be little danger of them driving the others out of business. Tom

  6. Is Vitro an acceptance OEM glass for repair?

You can even do that now. Most just prefer to take the quick, easy, known, and not really crappy route. 😉 Tom
  7. Is Vitro an acceptance OEM glass for repair?

In the grand scheme of life seems to me Safelite is taking the brunt of hate for a nasty theft smash and grab situation. With Ford's GREAT record of taking weeks, even months to fix minor items, imagine no Safelite, and having to rely on a Ford dealer, his individual supply chain, and dealer...
  8. Do you call your Bronco a car or truck?

My wife's primary enjoyment in life is annoying me. :)
  9. Branson area - Arkansas (Update)___

Too many to list, get county maps, GPS, and a full tank of gas... not much cell connection. The Ozarks are basically unpaved road heaven, for Missouri any numbered county road is unpnaved, the paved roads are lettered. In Taney and Ozark County 90% of the roads are unpaved. Over 85%...
  10. Do you call your Bronco a car or truck?

Ford groups it with, and calls it a SUV and car. 🤣 It is not grouped in the trucks and vans by Ford. The Bronco Raptor is grouped with Performance Vehicles. Tom https://www.ford.com/suvs/

My wife can match color and repair almost any plastic with nail polish.
  16. Is it the glass... or the windshield angle?

  17. Are we sleepwalking into World War III? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Breaking news 1978... The M247 Sergeant York DIVAD (Division Air Defense) was a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (SPAAG), developed by Ford Aerospace based on the M48 Patton tank.
  18. Is it the glass... or the windshield angle?

It's the glass, third windshield and not one audible rock strike. No chips, just cracks. Look at it wrong and it will crack from the black edge. On the bright side my MIC top is unscathed and I live in Florida. Not much of a problem in Florida though: Under Florida Statute...
  19. How do you stay cool camping in Texas summer

From Florida, Virginia, or Texas (lived in all three states) I've always been able to find a place to camp comfortably year round. It's only camping while traveling to either desert in winter or mountains in summer that I need the portable a/c to sleep comfortably in a tent...
