agreed
we went back in September and it rained which made everything super slick. couldn't imagine how bad it would be in the snow to try and tackle some of the obstacles
had the same thing with mine - dealer didnt really know what they were doing and in the conversion from '21 to '22 they didn't add the sound deadening.
i have it on order for $400 or whatever it is but its been a couple months with no luck..
ive put my Yakima slim shady awning on the factory roof rack without any issues
it does sit a little high but not awful. definitely dont need the yakima bars to run it.
i was really hoping that i could squeeze both the awning and the yakima skyrise hd2 tent on the factory rack at the same...
My dealer left it off of my build and @Ford Motor Company has been zero help to try and get it added - not really surprised though, the process was a bit of a nightmare.
So that being said double/triple check your order and don't assume it's there if you don't see it as a line item in the build.
I was promised 1k from my dealer and they said after I had the car for a bit I could pickout accessories, never knew there was a deadline and missed the 6/30 cutoff and now they're telling me I'm SOL (gave them my list early July when i knew what I wanted/needed) - ford acts like the program...
with it mounted directly to the oem rack - is there enough room to shift it to one side and put the yakima awning on the other side? that's our preferred setup just not sure on spacing.
appreciate the review - we're both 6' and under so hopefully its just enough room - i've seen mixed reviews...
hard to tell for sure in the pictures - do you have it mounted directly to the ford rack? all the info i find tells me i need the yakima crossbars on top of the ford rails which doesnt make much sense
also curious how you like it - i noticed it's one of the things you mentioned you'd change...
maybe use the remote window roll down feature (hold unlock for 5 seconds) to let the car air out before getting in?
a good ceramic tint on the windows and windshield will also help keep some heat out of the vehicle, it's done a decent job on ours up here in IL but we dont get nearly as hot as TX
if you have lane assist on, ive noticed mine in a long sweeping turn randomly decide it didnt like where i was centered in the lane and then take corrective action and almost rip me into the oncoming lane
carmax is the only one who wont I'm pretty sure. They pull a history report on the vehicle which wont register to you for a few weeks depending on your state
