  1. HOSS 1.0 base suspension, shock failure. Not the recalled set..

Thanks for the feedback. Heading in with the OEM wheels to eliminate that from being a concern.
  2. Do you get people trying to race you ?

Even us regular Broncos deal with it. I'll always think it's fun to have a short impromptu stoplight run, win or lose. Did it just the other week with this older loud Mustang GT, and managed to keep pace for longer than the Mustang owner probably expected.
  3. HOSS 1.0 base suspension, shock failure. Not the recalled set..

Anyone with leaking shocks during the warranty period have them denied due to aftermarket wheels and tires? My 285 tires weigh more than the 255 OEM Big Bend tires but the wheels weigh the same. Overall about 10 lbs more per tire. I'm debating the time and effort of putting my OEM wheels and...
  4. 2 door Borla Exhaust 2.7 Cat Back Install Question

I did an "off the shelf" Borla Pro XS that was $110 on Amazon (center and offset piping). It's probably smaller than the one in the Bronco kit. I had it welded on for $50 and added a $90 stainless turndown to eliminate the factory muffler. I don't expect you'll have any issues with yours...
  5. DIY extension for tailgate tire spacer/support

Still working just fine nearly a year and 25,000 miles later!
  6. Why do Bronco owners drive so slow?

This 2002ish Mustang GT owner found out that not all Broncos are "slow" as it took him getting into 4th gear to even put a car length on me...
  7. Tear in soft top side window due to cold!!

There is a warning in the owners manual to not open the cargo area in cold temperatures. I've done it without issue, but only by making sure the heat inside the vehicle had helped warm the windows a bit. Probably something a dealer or salesperson should mention, especially in northern climates.
  8. Avoid Oracle Lighting's Flush LED Tail Lights

No problems with mine for the past 23,000 miles, purchased in 2024. Seems like the main issues were with older sets. I can understand why early buyers who have had failures are upset and lost faith, though. Photos of mine lit and unlit.
  9. Extending tailgate spare tire rubber bumper?

Tip of the day for those that went with a lower offset wheel and need to adjust the spare spacers on the tailgate. This 2' section of dishwasher/washing machine hose is $3.99 at Menards. Measure and cut off what you need, and it slides in snugly. 👍
  10. Let's see the stablemates!!!

2023 Bronco Big Bend 2000 Pontiac TransAm Firehawk 6 speed 2023 Ibex 800 2024 Blazer EV. for the lady of the estate
  11. 2.7 tune - options?

Results from my 2023 4 door 2.7 BigBend non-Sas (3.73 rear end on 33's) with JB4 on Map 3 93 octane tune and Borla muffler. It launches softly from both idle or brake torquing, so it's a terrible 2.5 60'. Best stock pass on Dragy was a 14.96 at 92.6 mph quarter mile and 0 to 60 of 6.63. So...
  12. Tire question - best SL rated 33”?

I've got the Nokian Outpost P rated in that 285 70 17 size on mine. I believe they are about 45 lbs. I typically run them between 33 and 37 psi. Have 23000 miles on them and wearing well with low road noise. Went through IL winter just fine with them, and dirt roads are not an issue. They will...
  13. Marine Grade Vinyl Seats and how to stay cool sitting on them

I bought a vented seat cushion powered by a fan from Amazon last year. It works well enough to not make me hate the seats anymore. Mine is an older version of this one...
  14. Third row installed in 4 door Bronco (Not for Highway Use)

Thanks for the idea! Using this with a couple ratchet straps and bungees while slapping it and stating, "That ain't going anywhere!" works for me! 😀
  15. Begging Ford for the 5.0

The link below is a sample race with the F-150s demonstrating that the lower end torque advantage of the 2.7 helps it actually be quicker than the 5.0 in this particular sample of 2 stock vehicles. Yeah, I'd also love the deeper sound of a V8, and there are some really quick 5.0 F-150's out...
  16. What do you think of this?

Seems like it should be fine. But like most everything: It'll work until it doesn't!
  17. Front Plate drilled into painted trim piece…

Mine is mounted more like a skid plate, but still visible from the front. Best compromise for my situation.
  18. Ford Performance Method 703 Wheels Weight = 28.4 lbs

I somewhat took this approach too going for my non-Sas Big Bend as I'm not an off-roader and didn't need the heavy duty armor and equipment needed for protection on trails. Driving dynamics between the lightest and heaviest are certainly going to be different, and that's an important factor for me.
  19. Check This Out! Flush Mount Tail Lights by ORACLE Lighting

] Thanks, and that's fine with me.
