Found it - thin little plastic sleeve on both the metal arms that connect to the crossbar. It slides back & forth when you open & close the Softop. Why wouldn’t Bestop secure that before shipping?
When I slide it up to where I think it should be there is a head of a screw there - assuming it...
Thanks for the response.
Chattering is the best way to describe it and it does sound lIke it’s in the middle right behind the drivers head.
Do you mean the padded piece in the middle of the crossbar that has some Velcro on it?
Tough for me to see cause I also have the Bimini installed as well...
Put the Trektop on a few weeks ago.
There is a clattering noise when I’m on the highway. Can’t pinpoint where it’s coming from but it’s getting annoying. Sounds like either metal on metal or metal on plastic.
Anyone else experience this?
Greetings my fellow 2 door peeps. Anyone have any luck finding the following . . .
1. Back Tub rails / covers. iAG makes it for the 4 door but not the 2 door.
2. Vertical storage cart for the back Hardtop piece. Please don’t suggest a winch/pulley system. Some of us do not have that height...
Tailgate was open when i installed the back window.
The right side almost reached the tailgate door . .
Has to be something wrong with the top of the rear window being to high up and not reaching the tailgate snugly.
Thanks for posting. Was able to join male/female but it’s still not sitting right. Getting closer but the tubing where it meets the window is off . . .
Exactly what I thought - ugh. Thanks for the info.
Will be calling tomorrow morning and asking about MU7Z-7107-D. No use bringing it in if the -C is not going to correct the problem.
Just got the call from my service department - parts are in and I’m scheduled to bring my Bronco in early July.
I see that they are replacing the 5th & 6th synchro rings but I don’t see anything listed as a “-D Ring”?
Can anyone tell me if this is the latest update that will fix the problem?
Thanks for the info.
Looking to just store the 2 Door Bronco Hardtop vertically - I’m challenged for space in my garage.
I can hang the front 2 pieces of the Hardtop and 2 doors on my wall with the bags provided by Ford.
Surprised there is no vertical wheeled cart solution for the 2 door...
Thanks for the response.
So you just put this on a regular dolly and padded the bottom? Or did you modify the Extreme Terrain solution?
If you can please post a picture of the “dolly” without the Hardtop on it.
How are you protecting the back window? I know its only 80 lbs but it seems like the entire weight of this is resting on the back window.
ExtremeTerrain has a solution but It stored horizontally.
Still searching for a cart that can store a 2 Door Bronco HardTop vertically.
Never mInd - found my answer from the Bestop Bimini install video by Bill - very end of the video talks about what to do with the front of the Bimini under the Trektop.
When you loosen the side straps up front it lets you fold back the front of the Bimini and snap into place. The 2 metal front...
