  1. Bronco Options/Features Question

It drives proper for what it is... Same as any solid axle rig. It is the design. Purpose is for off road. If you want on road performance buy a Bronco.
  2. Bronco Options/Features Question

What do you guys expect? It's a solid axle with lots of steering linkage and old school gearbox. Same as HD trucks use like the Super Duty. It will never handle like a rack and pinion style steering system. It's not a sports car. Use it for what it is. Biggest issue I see is the Jeep...
  3. Bronco Options/Features Question

Raptor is an incredible value. If you plan on any amount of modifications your standard bronco will exceed Raptor cost. And you'll gain no resale value. We do all our own work. Our 2dr is well over $20k in parts added. Nearly half that is suspension (Icon electronic valve) which is not even...
  4. Bronco Options/Features Question

I'd say... 2dr manual if looking for the authentic Bronco experience. And it's the easiest manual I've ever driven: hill hold, light clutch, easy to shift, engine idle up... 2dr is just fun (less weight). Great MPG too. If going 4dr (not a real Bronco). I'd only consider the Raptor. It is...
  5. Carli Winch Bumper - Is this the BEST Winch Bumper for your Bronco?

Correct. I didn't notice side camera impact. Lights are specific to bumper design. Carli made the light mounting brackets (not generic). Ideally suited to install the XL80s. Mounting has extremely tight clearances. I'm sure you could build some custom light brackets to make other lights...
  6. Carli Winch Bumper - Is this the BEST Winch Bumper for your Bronco?

Correct. It's easier to see in the video. Show the dash screen view as well...
  7. Carli Winch Bumper - Is this the BEST Winch Bumper for your Bronco?

Essentially the top 1" of the intercooler is obstructed by the winch solenoid pack. About 5" of the intercooler is open. Keep in mind the modular factory bumper has only a 3" tall opening. Plus it is further obstructed by the ACC and grille shutter assembly. I'm guessing that this...
  8. Carli Winch Bumper - Is this the BEST Winch Bumper for your Bronco?

There’s more to a bumper than looks. Weight. Approach Angle. Air Flow. Design. Light Integration. Strength. While not perfect... the Carli Suspension Bronco Winch Bumper is an Impeccably Engineered Masterpiece. Fitment Vehicle: 2022 Raptor Bronco Here's the fun comparison specs (modular...
  9. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

Might as well support Panda... I like to give business to companies that support our modification obsessions. :)
  10. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

Yes you could get dirt inside. But it will blow everything out. Think of it as a mini exhaust pipe for the engine. Like your exhaust system it is not sealed or filtered. Exhaust flows out and will push out water or debris. You wouldn't want to add a filter as it would restrict the air...
  11. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

Upper hose connection is the blow off valve. The valve is closed (sealed) except after turbo boost pressure is built that the motor doesn't need. At that point the valve opens momentarily to release the excess air pressure. Nothing can get inside when the valve is closed. It blows out so...
  12. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

Just a bit more refined noise from the delete. Good option for middle ground. :)
  13. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

Well stated. Some personality adds to the fun.
  14. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

My bad. Will see about requesting relocation. The exhaust does apply the same on the 2.7L. :)
  15. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

The exhaust really is that quiet inside. Blow off makes more noise (inside) than exhaust at full throttle. Anything less exhaust noise and it wouldn't be heard over the wind noise. Windows down gives greater noise but still not as loud as you'd expect. Most noise is initial cold start up. That...
  16. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

Good deal. I'm surprised by how little noise is heard inside with the full muffler delete. I'm guessing the CAT quiets the noise significantly by itself. It is nice to hear the engine a bit driving a manual. I had an Acura TL 6 Speed years ago... it was difficult to drive as the motor was so...
  17. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

Great to hear! Thanks for sharing. In general, I prefer "quiet" vehicles. But the Bronco will never be quiet. It has one purpose... FUN. And street racer noises just make me laugh! Especially coming from an off road rig on 37s. :) Any issues with the blow off valve releasing directly...
  18. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

I haven't. The exhaust and engine were not audible before... my Bronco is the Base so doubt it has any fancy computer noises. Will see how we like it on the trail but it is fun on road (so far). Lots of smiles!
