  1. Oil capacity dipstick gate

We service our 2dr. However our Raptor travels all over the country which makes service interesting. We decided to extend the factory warranty and have dealer service to ideally limit hassles while traveling. I'm sure the dealer is using 7qt per the manual and not verifying dip stick. Not...
  2. Oil capacity dipstick gate

We have added .5qt to get to the top of the Raptor dip stick after dealer synthetic oil changes. It was full to the top of the dip stick initially and 1st synthetic blend oil change. Is anyone else having the dealer service and noticing the same thing?
  3. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

Can't actually hear the exhaust over wind noise.
  4. Looking to buy front Raptor fender liners

Advanced Fiberglass is a good option. Ideal width with factory offset. Skip the fender liners and modify the factory ones. Sell your fenders to pay for most of the upgrade.
  5. Trail Militia is going there: 74Weld vs Werewolf Portals

What these portals need is a reservoir same as power steering systems. This would increase oil volume to help keep cool and extend intervals. Plus easy to check levels and refill. You could also add filters. I've talked with Quinn about this. He's convinced that race works for everything...
  6. Finally Multiple New Charge Pipe Kits Coming Soon for Raptor (AFE and CVF)

Agreed. The stock radiator seems marginal without the intercooler blocking it further. I've seen 220-221 degrees on long climbs with all the grille shutters removed. Not sure what temperature becomes detrimental but I like keeping temps closer to 200. Whipple intercooler does well most of...
  7. Interesting MPG comparison before/after mods

These motors do excellent in town and under 65mph. We keep the speed down. 10k miles on 37s (skinny). 19.6mpg average. 24.3 best. 15.5 worst. Fairly solid to get 20-21mpg around town / hwy. 2.3L 7 speed. 37x11.5R17. Skids / Winch / Sliders / Bumpers. FP Tune. Muffler delete. We...
  8. Help me with muffler delete

We still enjoy the RC delete. Cheap. Saves weight. Better ground clearance. Noise is fun... makes poping and crackling sounds. Easier to drive the manual around town being able to hear the motor. Don't notice the exhaust on the hwy as the wind noise takes over. No need to compare to a...
  9. Winch fuse size

Fuses in general not recommended for winch applications (high amp draw). But if you do... consult spec sheet for max amp draw and make sure you have 20% higher rated fuse. Worst thing is to have winch fail when needed. I'd keep it simple and reliable. Make sure routing is secure and protected
  10. Death Wobble on the news

Death wobble is available for all poor geometry or poorly maintained solid axle rigs. Not just a Jeep thing. Heck most Jeeps don't have solid axles. I find it strange that anyone would sell a rig instead of fixing the issue. It's not difficult to make a solid axle rig drive safely.
  11. Please help with another tongue weight question

No.... Extending the hitch WILL NOT reduce the tongue weight. It is the exact same weight. But it WILL create additional leverage which is BAD for the weak hitch design. Essentially it will become a longer lever to try and twist the crossmember mount. Just remove the spare tire and ditch...
  12. 2.3L 7sp badlands engine stopped on freeway

Fuel pump is cooled by the fuel running through it. It does NOT need to be submerged to keep "cool" and not fail or overheat. It might overheat if there is no fuel and pump continues to run dry. We run our trucks to zero miles most of the time. I want to know the range in a variety of...
  13. Can anyone identify this hidden winch mount!?

No true. There is a transmission cooler (radiator) on the Raptor. No space for intercooler. And high mount intercooler will reduce radiator and condensr performance. There is a reason why Ford put the intercooler where they did. Stock radiator is rather marginal on the Raptor without...
  14. Can anyone identify this hidden winch mount!?

There isn't a good way to do it... that's why. I've carefully studied it. We are happy with the Carli bumper and did a write up and videos on it. Best designed bumper for weight, low profile, lighting and intercooler air flow.
  15. Hidden Winches

Lobo makes the best option. Ideal for 2.3L and more complicated for 2.7L
  16. Bronco Raptor Take Off Parts: Gas Skid, Exhaust Muffler... Kingman, AZ

Bumper is still available and has factory fog and harness. Have a couple people talking about driving out but no confirmation.
  17. Intercooler Questions

Relocation works for us. Probably needs a bit more adjustment... picks up vehicles on the right more.
  18. Intercooler Questions

Keep in mind the Raptor has a Transmission cooler in front of the radiator as well. Putting a massive intercooler in front of the rather moderate sized radiator and transmission cooler and ac condenser is going to increase temperatures for everything else. There just isn't much room on these...
