Never bothered disabling CAGS. For me, it was easy enough to drive and avoid it happening. I also did 1st to third a lot.

It must certainly can happen from offroading. The lower edge of the plastic catches on departure and it pops off. The light is left hanging. I saw this happen in a video to another Bronco while it was rock crawling. They comment that it happens with stock jeep bumpers too.

You are going to need the whole dash panel as well. The piece that has BRONCO molded into it in large letters. There is no additional bezel they use to fit the smaller screen, it's surrounded by the one large piece of plastic.
