Lifting IFS is tricky and places added strain on the front driveline. Could your aesthetic objective be achieved by adding 1" of front lift and 2" of rear lift ?
Yes, now I get it. As you say, extra droop increases fender space, helps stuff bigger tires, but the amount of lift that can be obtained this way is limited by CV travel. As you say, obtaining clearance in this manner may not be good for the CVs. So this type of lift works better for the rear...
I like the idea of a hybrid, like Zone's. I see pros and cons of each type of lift, so do a moderate amount of each lift type, instead of a larger amount of only one type.
Also, I think having equal amounts of perch lift and top-hat lift will minimize the downsides of each.

Agreed, changing the ride height via perch collars does not ensure that there will be no rubbing with larger tires, because, as you say, the travel has not changed.

Now I think I understand. The perch collar is like an internal spacer? That's how it lifts the vehicle's ride height without changing strut travel? In IFS jeeps I'm used to seeing them just call 'em spacer lifts, so that's why I needed to learn a new word.
No effect on suspension? Does that mean the collar has the same effect as a partial body lift?

Thanks, awesome! Since it seems the high-end struts can increase travel, I guess one would have to ask the vendor whether it's safe to use a top-hat spacer or perch collar (or whether the vendor's strut has already used up the 2" of extra droop that we have to work with).
Is the concern about the warranty because the perch collars are re-locating the struts downward, thereby increasing CV downtravel ?
