That settles it, I’m definitely getting the side steps! I also got a 2-door BB in Area 51, but steps couldn’t be added to the Standard Package- which I had to select to get the manual transmission (?!?).
Great build week for patient 2-door customers!
My Big Bend (3/7 build, shipped 3/9) arrived at dealer Wednesday (3/23). Picked up today (3/25)! Yours is coming…
Many Thanks to Fullerton Ford of Somerville, New Jersey. Helpful and responsive all the way- no hassle, no tricks, no ADM.
Lots of 2-doors this week! Mine was 3/7 blend, estimated delivery 3/23-3/29. Just got my Ford email and baby picture, but the wife tells me all these pictures are just photoshopped from only two actual builds…
My BB was “Built” 3/7, “Shipped” 3/9. Dealer says “ETA week of 3/27”. Consistent timing with our build week.
I think “Shipped” only means it went out the door of MAP, but still, this is progress…
Built 3/7, shipped 3/9! I can only guess that keeping my BB to the basic build with no package or options (except signature headlights) helped avoid a chip delay.
My mods popped last night, and this morning the tracker status was changed to “Built 3/7”! 381/2203.
Can’t wait to get a shipping date and rail car number- I may have to camp by the railroad crossing waiting for the train to roll through my NJ town!
“Don’t forget to update the google doc with your status and build process changes.”
Silly question- how do I get back in to the Google doc to update my stats?
Welcome to the Area 51 Club! I think it will be the classic Bronco color. Looks perfect on the Black Diamond.
Consider this site a therapy group for like-minded souls obsessed with a machine. Your wait should be less than most- remember, even though orders started in July 2020, NOBODY got a...
Only told a couple people last year, with the caveat “I won’t see it until the end of 2022”. If it arrives sooner I’ll just drive up the street and see whose head turns...
And yes, this is clearly a therapy group for like-minded souls, validating our obsession with a machine. The best kind of...
Not worried, except if the engine goes, which would essentially “total“ the vehicle! My 2005 Liberty- not exactly Jeep’s most beloved model- just keeps going. It’s the most solid, consistent vehicle I’ve ever owned. First clutch lasted 15 years, radiator 16 years. I never get tired of shifting...
1) cost- don’t want to pay for extra capabilities and stuff I won’t use.
2) I want to customize to my tastes, so a basic model made more sense.
3) I couldn’t order Area 51 on the base model when I ordered.
4) I like the BB’s 17” wheel style and larger size more than the base’s 16” wheels.

Nice build! The grill lettering overlay stickers look perfect on Cyber Orange- what is the source? I was 50/50 on painting the grill lettering on my BB 2-dr being built next month, but overlays (if available in Area 51) are a slam-dunk do-it.
Also where’d you get the stubby antenna?
Happy New Year February builds! Checked the back door link, and I’m relieved to find I’m still scheduled, easing my irrational paranoia.
Date slipped back a week to 2/28, but that’s OK, no big deal. Anyone else slide later?
