Okay gonna be honest here (and in an offroad community I can only imagine the push back and flaming I am going to recieve...), but why all the littering for those that enjoy the outdoors that offroad? I realize I am lumping everyone in this bucket, and it may be a few bad apples that ruin it...
As much as people call it a "mall crawler" it really isn't. I believe people on this forum make quick decisions based on trim levels, just get what you want. The OBX has removable doors, removable roof, and is plenty better offroad than any of the other crossovers people are lumping in here...
My buddy and I went here for Spring Break in college to camp (all the way from Michigan). We took a stock Jeep Grand Cherokee 2006 down the trails to camp and it was absolutely awesome.
I will be returning. Don't let the secret out! The stars are just amazing at night.
This is what I use for getting to the top of my expedition (I think it is just an inch shorter than a SAS with roof rack) so really no biggy. Just fold down the seat too and stand on the lowered seat...
I've got a 2013 Expedition two tone (dark green and tan low level) and I love the color combination.
I really want to see a tan soft top with a deck cover on an Area 51, Cactus Gray, or Boxwood green (please!). I used to want a white hard top, now I think a tan bikini top (I hope I get this...
Do you want a roof rack (like I do?)? If so gonna need a hardtop.
Also, driving in the winter there isn't a defroster back there and I wouldn't want to scrape a snow brush when it is below freezing on those plastic rear windows.
Plus, the videos I have seen requires a prop rod to hold the...
Grand Rapids - looking at a wildtrak likely for some 2 tracking and up north fun. Been up to silver lake sand dunes and over the UP, I am an avid mountain biker and camper looking forward to the bronco (just wish it had a higher tow rating!)
I am right there with you. The A4wd option gets used for all winter driving in my Expedition and I use the 4wd for any type of offroad situation. the A4wd is a set it and forget it type of thing that makes the vehicle much easier to drive on the street during snowfall without having to worry...
This is true (at least for my Ford Edge). I am one of those "can't live without it." I never have my key on me, it is always in the Edge and I use the key pad to enter everytime. Heck, I don't even know where the key is in the vehicle! Its so useful for going out to dinner, not having to lug...
I am right there with you. If I can ride my mountain bike or hike faster than what my vehicle can do I see zero interest in trying to move my machine up it (I know some of you are against this logic!)
This is nice to see and exactly why I am going with a Wildtrak. I thought about a Badlands, but I am not going to use that vehicle to it's max, therefore do not need the Sway bar disconnect, etc.
I think the Wildtrak will be perfect for Michigan's Silver Lake Sand Dunes (where a number of...
I'd be interested in - something....We have a 2016 Ford Edge with only 56K miles on it and with the amount of rock chips on it from just daily driving it is poor. A bronco with a flatter hood and same paint quality could mean even more chips, especially since this one will see dirt.
I believe this was the case with a similar color when I bought a 2016 Ford Edge. The Cyber Orange (or very similar) and the Gaurd (green which I wanted!) were removed for the 2016 model year for the new model that came out in 2015.
Nice! I honestly still cannot decide between stock BL or Wildtrak!..........These side profile pictures really help. Thank you for taking.
I believe the BL with the rooftop tent was a standard BL with 35's put on it non-SAS (if I recall the thread discussions correctly from the past).
