It will be helpful with bigger tires. The Sasquatch’s door sill is about 21” or so, probably 3-4” lower than a wrangler with 35”s. Should make it easier to get in if you don’t have steps with large tires.
Oh I’m not working just for retirement either. I know that my view on it is very different from most people’s view. I’m not judging or trying to change someone’s mind. The OP just asked what everyone thought, so I chimed in with how I view it. *changed the original post to I instead of you so...
I’m of the thought that I can afford whatever I can pay cash for. My only exception is a mortgage.
I made the mistake of calculating the opportunity cost of the Bronco. The price invested at 8% annual return would turn into almost $250,000 when I plan to retire. That’s an expensive Bronco!
There's a company that makes the sliding ragtop kits for the original Broncos. It actually stiffens the top quite a bit and apparently the quality is really good. I wouldn't bank on that being an option with the '21 because of the separate panels on the roof, unless it's a complete one-piece...
No, I've seen them. There's nothing under that cheap plastic and homemade vinyl cover except some 1" pipes that give it a little structural integrity. I don't know what's going on with the rear section on the one in the second post, but the one in the first post is just camouflage to hide the...
Oh it would have to be regional for sure. I wouldn’t pay to ship a hard top under any circumstances, but if a couple of folks within a couple hundred miles wanted to meet in the middle and trade tops in a parking lot, why not?
There's nothing under the disguise top but the stuff they got at Home Depot to build it. It is literally taped to the windshield and the rear vinyl portion to seal it. I didn't take a picture, but these are the ones I saw in Colorado a month ago.
What we need to do is start threads for regional swaps. If someone in Denver wanted a black top, and someone ordering a Wildtrak wanted the grey for some reason, let them get together and work out the purchases and a price for the swap. Like Tinder for grilles, options, and accessories.
I'm not thrilled about some of it either, but every manufacturer does this. It's not like Ford is the only one playing the games with packages and options. I want a different grille than what comes on the trim I'm planning to order. I can't imagine that a dealer wouldn't order a black top a...

The modular top is the painted top. MIC is the rough texture grey. The rear seat “Sunroof“ and pop-out windows on the 2-door are only on the painted modular top. 4-door painted...
